looking to get a drop and wondering if CP is good, i got an ion, and does the CP drops come with an ASA?, or do i have to use it with the stock ASA

I would not use it with the stock ASA. My advice to you is to buy a decent ASA(ccm is my favorite, other people have others they like.) that's made to rail mount. Try the drop and try a normal rail, decide which one you like better.


Now sit back and watch the next twenty replies explaining why drop forwards are evil, since the pro's don't use them. Of course personal preference makes no play in it, the pro players don't use them so you shouldn't either(note the sarcasm here...).

Drops are most likely all going to be the same, they're just a piece of metal. Like txaggie said, you might want to try a rail with a good ASA before you try a drop forward. To many people (including myself), they just simply don't feel right.
