sniper=welcome here
ok, i shoot rifles and im a pretty good "sniper" in paintball even though ive only played a few times. i use a standard tippmann 98 custom and was wondering if you woodsball snipers would answer some questions.first of all, how often do you have to take apart the marker to oil the bolts? what kind of camo is best for concealment and also a good base for a ghillie suit? bdu or hunting camo? what brand? where can you get cheap 1 inch netting and jute thread? what kind of paint doesnt bust on small leaves but will mark someone good. i always have that problem because if im hiding in a bush or in some reeds, the paint busts before it gets out. any other tips for an ok sniper? write as much as possible.

you'll be hard pressed to find answeres in these forums. for your sake , i hope you play the role of consealed shooting instead of long range "sniping"
On a tippman, you really dont' ever NEED to oil it, but i'd suggest doing it before you go out and play each time. if you want some thicker shelled paint that wont' break on brush, find some rec ball stuff at sporting good stores, however chances are it wont' break on your target either. Some peopel put of mix of those and god paint in their hoppers sot eh thick stuff shoots throught he brush, clearing a path for the good paint.

with a tippy all you need to do is drop some oil down the asa hole, then dry fire it a couple times.

the only advantage to a scope would be to see further. the range and accuracy of a paintball aren't good enough to be able to use a scope. Long range paintball shooting simply does not exist as all paintball markers shoot the exact same distance and speed.

so basically the only reason to get a top line gun is the double trigger and sensetivity of the trigger?

they're smaller, faster, more air efficient, and(least importantly) more pleasing to the eye.
a lot of people are gonna hate me for saying this, but once you hit a certian point, there's no use arguing one over another because they all do the exact same thing. It's all about how you like each one.

They good, but I really wouldn't bring really good expensive guns out to play woodsball unless you can buy multiples. You could just upgrade something of lesser quality to perform the same as something high quality.
