Is it bad to leave tanks filled for too long?
I just got 2 tanks filled and then right when i screwed the first one in theres a leak... im pretty sure its an o ring in the lpr... but im gonna have to wait a while to order the o rings. So in the mean time is it bad to let my tanks sit as they are... or should i empty em? Also i noticed when my tanks were filled one of them was really warm and i never felt a warm tank before.... is that bad?
I thought id post this in new player forum cuz i think its kinda newb of a question to ask lol.

Personally i have no clue, but i have left my full tanks out for months, especially my Co2 one , and the only thing that occur was my tanks would eventually become empty over time, wasnt a problem, i just went and refilled them, but thats the only issue that i could think of

it's fine. compressing air takes energy that tranfers into heat.

whatever you do, dont' ever put any sort of oil in the fill nipple; that's how tanks blow up.

A quick fill makes the bottle/air warm. If it were slow filled it would not warm up.

no the fill nipple is the nipple the tank is filled with. it's safe to oil the regulator if you ever take it apart; but that's usually unnecessary.

The reason HPA tanks blow up (I think, correct me if I'm wrong) is because like diesle engines, very high pressure plus oil (minus glowplug) = explosion + oxygen from full HPA tank is bad...
Never put oil down your fill nipple... bad things will happen if you do...

What about when getting it filled? I heard that it compensates for the loss of air as the air that gets put into the tank cools down.

Once the air is in the tank, it's impossible for it to escape unless it leaks out. Now you're talking about a few hundered psi ina 3000psi tank; it really doesn't matter.

gah, the blowing up brings back memories from that thread on the nation. you do not need ot put oil anywhere in it, maybe a non-oil based lubricant, but anything other then that = bad.
