Problems with balls chopping

Ok i used to play every now and then a long time ago. I don't know much about paintballing but i know the basics.

People in my town have decided to start playing again so i decided to get a nice starter gun and i would upgrade to another if people were serious enough to start a team. The problem with this gun is that it is chopping balls like no tomorrow. Every time i use it i get like 10 shots out of it and then the whole gun is flooded with paint (even in the hopper...).

I want to know why this is. Idk if it's the balls I'm using (Xball Paintballs) or maybe my volocity is too high? or it's the gun itself? I'm using a Spyder Sonix with a 12" Carbon fiber no name barrel.

I used the Xball Paintballs in my spider compact 2000 (my brothers old back up) and it didn't seem to have a problem with chopping, however the volocity was really low and i couldn't raise it since i didn't have to tool with me at the time.

It's fairly cold out as well.

Summary of above:
Chopping problems. I want to know what could be causing this because my new gun is basically unusable. Could it be:
Paintballs (Xball)
Gun (Spider Sonix)
Volocity too high?
Cold Weather?

All help is appreciated.

I'm not a very nice person, so what I said has been removed.

It's actually not the reasons you listed .

It could be the barrel....is the bolt causing the chop, or is it breaking somewhere down the barrel?if down the barrel, get a new barrel and go.

More than likely your shooting it fast enough it is out shooting the hopper. Basic gravity fed right? pick up a revolution hopper(more than enough for a mechanical spyder...), and it will probably stop.

Alright I see what you're saying. I don't think it's the barrel at all even though it's a POS, but a new hopper would more than likely do the trick since i notice it start to chop once I shoot faster.

Thanks.

If it starts under rapid fire, that's your problem.
