Hello... Help with first gun
Ive played paintball a few times using the rental stuff and Im ready to buy a marker.. I was thinking about buying something on ebay from someone looking to get out of the sport, this way I get everything and I can get a decent gun that I won't get bored with or need to buy upgrades for.. Looking to spend no more than $450 on the gun.. Ive seen some recommendations for the PM6 and I was just wondering if that was the direction I should go..
I would like something reliable, fast, and accurate..
Thanks,
John

Try and negotiate the PM6 with a frame, as that is probably the first thing you're going to want. If you want another nice marker in that range, look at a used 2005 Planet Eclipse Ego. If you want a new marker, look into a Dangerous Power Fusion F8.

if you'rea new marker owner and not an adult, I HIGHLY suggest that you do not jump directly to a highend marker. Start with a spyder and tippman, lan how to maintain them, how they work, etc. After that you can make the jump to a highend marker. I've seen to many of them break due to ignorance.

^^^Agreed. Unless your older and mature and think you can handle a high end marker or have a friend that can help you take care of it. Otherwise go with what matrix_agent said.

Have to agree with matrix.
Some of it is Dependant on your age. Honestly, right now, I would give you the same advice period.
Actionvillage has a great deal on spyder vs1's right now, 140$ and you get the VS2 series frame for free. Pick up an ion threaded feedneck(the vs1,2,3 is ion threaded I'm pretty sure) and don't mess with it from there. that's less than 150$ in the gun, and it will make a great backup later. From there, spend the $$ on a mask, pack, good asa setup, a good hopper, and all the gear your going to need to play. Once you've absolutley sure your ready tot go, then upgrade...

Thanks guys, Im 27.. As far as repairs, I've taken apart and built my race bike, think thats a good prerequisite? I prefer to buy a higher end marker than a lesser and then go for an upgrade..
I also found a good deal on a Karnivor Pro with the following.. How would a Karni be as a first gun? I don't need the absolute best, just a decent marker that won't give me too many issues..
Crossfire 4500psi tank
Halo B loader with Victory Board & Rip Drive
Full STO Kaner barrel kit
Worrblade E-Frame with eye (Upgraded Zero-b Board)
STO Worr solenoid housing
Authentic Budd Orr body
STO reverse front block (keeps your elbow tucked in)
Tickler regulator
STO ram
STO TRVs
STO input regulator
Protective wire gaurd
Bottom line with on/off
IVG System
Delron bolt and pull pin
Grip feed tube
P-Block
Its also coming with some misc. stuff.. gloves, two pairs of pants, two jerseys, dye weekend bag and mask.. the guy is getting out of the sport and wants everything gone...

Karni's are great markers, and as long as your willing to learn the maintenance and problems that cockers can incur .
how much for the pack?

. You will be better off with it, no learning how to time a gun that can get really annoying to maintain, and that PM will shoot tits. I have personally used/shot/shot people with one and loved every trigger pull of it. and I use a carleton 45/45 good tanks, though I need a new reg
