68/4500 or 45/4500?
What are some of advantages of getting a smaller tank? I got a 65/4500 for my pm6 but was thinking about getting the 45ci just to see if I like it better. Are there any cons besides more fills?

you just run the risk of running out of air faster, especially since a spooler is a long way from "efficient".
Smaller tanks are nice if you can get 4500 fills consistently. It's odd though....people have started using shorter and shorter tanks, et still bag on short drop forwards....when they do the same thing.

I wont go for a 45, i never want to worry about air, i just got a dm6 and im gunna be running it with my 68 and a decent drop forward, i prefer that to no drop and a peanut tank. i was kinda wondering about a peanut with my drop but sized it up to one at the local shop and it doesnt look like it will fit, o well

Peanut plus a drop is tiny. That's shorter than even an old school guy like me would put up with for the most part LOL.
To me, a 45, a peanut 70, or a 68 wiht a myth reg, is a great size.

ya i heard about the myth regs, im kinda half looking for a new tank, becasue a) mines a bit on the heavy side, and b) becasue of the on/off on the reg, its longer than usuall, i was thinking about a pure energy tank with a centerflag reg, think that would make a good combo?

Do you need an adjustable for some reason? If you do the centerflags are nice. the CP 68's with the myth regs on them weigh NOTHING, and are badass.
I have an old carleton SP branded tank with one on it and it's nice

no, id dont really need an adjusttable reg on the tank, im shooting a dm6 now, i was just hearing that the crossfires have the fastist recharge rates of any regs so i wanted to make sure i dont encounter shoot down.

Honestly, with an HP tank, your not going to be shooting fast enough to GET shootdown. Your reg needs about a 200psi difference in pressure, that would mean 300-psi of shootdown for most guns. I mean if your pushing the absolute performance edge it makes a difference, but a tank is VERY rarely the shootdown culprit.

I only use my HPA tank for speedball where you usually can fill between every game so I got the 45/45 for the lightness.

It all comes down to personal preference. I use a 68 just because I have longer arms and it puts my marker right where I want it. If you intend on keeping the proto, I would definately keep the 68, as it was said before, spoolers are not that efficient (hella good markers otherwise though)

lol its not like i have a choice anymore, im pretty sure my dm6 would just comit suiside if i ran co2 through it, lol, but i cant really go 45/45 because i play a decent amout of woodsball and my buddy brings a 3000 psi scuba tank out there for fills and i have run out on a couple of long games, and i dont think a 45/3000 would do very good, but im just wondering whats the lightest tank/reg combo for a 68/4500 setup (high pressure prefered)

Yea, I use a pump for woodsball, hence me only needing my tank for speedball. My quest is only for tourny's and practice and stuff like that.
