I just got my tippmann a-5 about 2 months ago and I love it. I just need some suggestions for which barrel to buy for it and what length. I've heard if you get a barrel longer than 16" it doesnt really help but it starts hurting the performance of your gun. Any help will be great!

what you have heard about length is true.

I think most anyone on here will suggest that you use a J&J ceramics barrel. They're wonderfull barrels and are also affordable.

alright...i bought a 16" J&J ceramic barrel but the gun doesnt shoot very well. The paintballs are going all over the damn place. I messed with the velocity and didnt change much, I am using really cheap paint tho. Is it most likely the paint?

Yes it is. Badly deformed paint will not fly well at all. Step up to a decent quality paint and you SHOULD notice a difference
