spyder VS2.
the ion is better than the pilot, but the vs2 rocks both their worlds.

The Spyder VS1 is your best bet. The Spyder VS2 and ion are not meant to run CO2 threw them.

why do you want co2? Comp air tanks are so cheap now and filling them costs less.

Spyders are great starter markers. I almost got one but I fall in love with pump markers, so I never bought one. For what its worth I would say stay away from a electric one. I have heard the sad stories some many times of cheaper electric markers dying fast. Are you going to be woodsball or speedball or both?

the cheaper ones do but not spyders. and yes the vs1 is your best choice if you're sticking with CO2.

I have a few more questions for you though:

when you'll be playing will you have available air refills nearby? if not, stick with using co2 and buy a few 20 oz tanks.

What sort of markers will the people you'll be playing with use? if they're mechanical markers, get a mechanical marker yourself. It's no fun to have a faster marker than all the other people for more than a little while.

It pretty much what they say on the SP site. A great first marker. I'm thinking hard about the Vibe or SP1 as my first non-pump marker too.

Let us know what you do and yes steel air tanks are under $60 these days which is cheaper than 2x 20oz Co2 bottles.

Good luck and have fun!
