I don't understand what you mean by that? Is the threading messed up or dented? Are you saying the pin valve is stuck inwards?

A picture would be very helpful in this situation.

Only an airsmith can help you with that.

Someone dropped the tank and damaged the top part of the tank. Its not the actual pin thats damaged, its the area around it. Look:

get it hydro'd. that dent is fine so long as it doesn't cause it to leak.

eh. if there is a leak, it's easily replaced by buying a new bonnet. that's what that dented piece is called.

they're not exactly easy to find. Try contacting crossfire directly about it.

this sounds like way too much of a hastle espeshally for a tank that needs hydro, may just want to look into a new tank, might be time to upgrade to a 4500 psi tank

This tank was free! I bought it off ebay, the dude lied in the auction, he refunded me the money for it, I shipped it to him, it got returned, I told him he had to pay for return shipping, and he hasnt ever contacted me back!

you're nuts. it's a $10 piece that wont' effect the hydro conditions at all. this is a piece of the threads, not the tank itself.

if it's a metal tank, yeah.
crossfire does hydro testing for $20+whatever shipping to them costs. I'm sure you can also ask them to replace the bonnet if needed when they hydro test it.

oh yes you can do the work yourself. it's a simple matter of unscrewing 2 allen screws, screwing off the old one, and doing everything in reverse with the new one. I've completly dis-assemeled my tanks regulator when it was leaking once, and put it back together. It's no different than a in-line regulator.

Its not really a big deal, considering I have a perfectly good pure energy 48/3000, I was just curious. I dont play speedball so I dont care too much about fiber tanks.
