Buying first Woodsball Gun.

Ok so i played woodsball before about *4 times* using my friends extra spyder. I have no love for speedball, woodsball is my bang.
I really want to start playing again and now that i have the job along with the money the tough part is finding a marker*I'm still a noob so it's tough for me*.

Im a gun afficionado and one of my favortie assault rifles is the ak 47, so RAP4 caught my eye.

Firestorm T68 AK47 Paintball Gun

This is the gun i'm thinking of buying.

What do you guys think? Is it good for woodsball?
Is there anything better and maybe cheaper.

I love the ak-m4-m16-mp5 markers, that's the only reason i really want to start playing again. So please keep that in mind when you recommend me a marker, if it can be modified to look like one the rifles/smg mentioned then great.

Rap4 stuff looks sweet but they have a reputation for selling complete junk products although the T68 stuff is their Cadillac line. I'm a woodsball player but I HATE the milsim stuff I find it too bulky but if you must have the realism thing check out the Alpha Black it isn't an AK but it is made by Tippmann so the quality is there. If you want the AK look check out the BT-4 Banshee it isn't quite as polished as the Rap4 but again the quality is there. If money is an issue you can start with a basic A5 or X7 and buy the cosmetic parts as you go.

What exactly do you mean by polished?
Also how is the x7 compared to the t-68?

By polished I mean it doesn't look quite as real as the Rap4. Milsim stuff goes one of two ways:
1) Realistic looks but bad quality
2) Good quality but not as realistic

The X7 is a rehashed A5 it is essentially identical minus a few minor changes the A5 is solid proven design and is basically the de facto woodsball marker. T68s are mediocre markers inside cool looking body kits kind of like riced out Hondas but for paintball markers and cars it is what is on the inside that counts and the Rap4 stuff doesn't have much to offer in that department.

I see, well im looking at the x7 right now and with the modifications i want it comes out to be pretty hefty compared to the rap. Is the a-5 any cheaper and is it worth the buy? Comparing x7-a5.

A5's are cheaper the differences are really minor. The X7 is slightly heavier, has a more milsim look, and the cyclone feed had some small teaks made to it. Were I starting over again and looking for the milsim thing I'd buy a basic A5 and then scour the buy/sell forum for the milsim parts on the cheap. If it is the look you are after go the Rap4 route some people don't have any problems with them and maybe you'll get lucky.

Since you are going in mainly, least what it appears to me, for a milsim look, I would go with either and A5 or even a BT 4. Both those are solid markers with great features for customizations. I haven't heard much about the marker you have picked out but I would look around and find some reviews to see if it is worth the 400+ dollars you are going to be paying. If you want to got even further to save some money you could go with a 98c, but it seems you have the money so go with the A5.

You need to take a look at a tac-one, or a built mag rifle.

You would have been better off with the '98, at a much lower price, then "modding" it like you wanted but w/e
