Yet another 'what should I buy' thread

I realize that there is probably a million posts on here with advice but hoping someone can provide their experience based on my specific situation. Afraid I am just not up enough on the new guns to know what to get.

Okay - I am not a hard core player but play recreationally. Sometimes in the woods with friends and sometimes at the parks in private groups.

Current setup is a spider imagine, halo hopper, new barrel (forget what kind), sticky grip and compressed air.

A few friends recently bought some new guns, tippmann A5 and a 98. Feel like my equipment is a little out of date and want to regain my edge. Was looking at the new tippmann x7 just because it looks cool with the e trigger and flatline but thought I would get some professional advice before blowing $600 on something that looks good.

Mainly looking for something that is accurate with a high rate of fire. The 3-burst and automatic modes on my spider are cool but often cut the balls. Once that happens the accuracy is horrible the balls ALMOST hook as much as when I have a golf club in my hand.

So basically looking for something under the $600 range with mods. I already have a good mask and a lot of other equipment (gloves, canisters, etc) so most of the money will go towards the marker. An extra tank wouldn't hurt either.

Suggestions?

Thanks.

If you are playing in the woods with your friends I'm guessing you are using Co2 so that right there limits your options in the speed category. I'm going to drop a recommendation for an Sp1 they are new and have the burst fire and full auto options and can use Co2. Sp1s also have a low force to cut down on chops and they are well under the $600 mark.

Your chopping because of your hopper, not the gun. Put a halo/vlocity on it and you'll stop that.

If your shopping in the 600$ range, you looking at a lot nicer gun than the SP1.

It sounds to me like your a prime candidate for a used ego/marq/angel, or a new mini or fusion.

I should probably read more carefully when I'm posting from work.

Since you are running HPA any of the mid range electros will whoop any Tippmann your friends are using check out PMRs or Etek, Fusions are also nice. For woodsball I'm a huge fan of Automags if you don't mind mechanicals the Tac One is an amazing marker.
