What is the advantage of having an electronic hopper over a simple gravity-fed one? Does it feed balls mechanically allowing you to shoot from odd positions or something?

As far as I know A gravity fed h opper has no mechanism in it to make the balls drop faster. So if you start shooting at a faster rate of fire the balls will get stuck in the hopper and you will have to shake them out. An electronic hopper will agitate the balls inside the hopper, feeding them faster and thus allowing you to shoot faster without the problem of a gravity feed.

that's exactly right. not onyl will tehy get stuck int he hopper; you marker will actualyl chop them in half, leaving a huge mess to clean up each time ti happens.

Also, the electronic ones feed more consistantly at a faster rate, so you can effectively put down suppressing fire down without skipping a beat in your shots.
