Hey everyone. Just got into paintball and lovin it. I have a Tippman 98c. Got a longer barrel and plan to upgrade it as much as I can. I just got a pure energy 20oz tank with the on off switch, and my marker is acting like it is running out air, but it is a full tank. I can't hear air leaking from anywhere. It seems the faster I pull the trigger the less distance the ball goes untill the action just starts going like an auto. I was just wondering if my drive spring is not strong enough. My other pure energy 20oz tank works fine.

Is it antisyphoned? If not, that's probably the issue, getting liquid co2 into the valve, therefore not getting enough pressure to properly shoot and cycle.

What does antisyphoned mean? So I'm not sure then. I was woundering as well if a cover for my tank would help. Anyway, I'm bringing it back down to where I got it to see what it is. The guys where I go seem to know alot. It is just wierd one tank works fine and the other doesn't. I had them filled at the same time. I still won the battle but got hit a few times because I couldn't keep the other guy under fire.

anti siphon tubes go in tanks and are meant to point in the upwards direction when the tank is screwed in so that they do not suck up pur, liquid c02. down your tank have a line drawn on it anywhere? if so that line needs to face up at all times.

co2 tanks actually have liquid co2 in them. It expands to a gas and then is shot through your gun. If you shoot very quick the pressure of the co2 will drop (giving lower fps) and you may also get some liquid co2 as well. The outside temperature is also important as it determines the pressure of the co2 gas.
