I just recently got a spyder VS2 off of action village. I decided to go with the package deal on the right for 75 dollars cause it looked like a lot better equipment than the other package. Of course I didn't check to see exactly what kind of air tank it was, and when it finally got here I saw it was a CO2 tank. Of course stupid me didn't know that the VS2 only takes air. I went and got the CO2 tank filled and tried to hook it up but of course I couldn't get any pressure. I'm assuming since It was CO2 and filled up that the pin could not pierce the tank, since the pressure was too high, letting no CO2 get into my gun. I did try to force it a little but to no avail. Now that I know that I need a O2 tank I was wondering since their was no pressure ever released is their a chance my gun could have been damaged at all?
Also, will any 20oz air tank do the job? or are their any differences I should know about which air tank to buy? or is their a recommended air tank that a lot of people with VS2 use?

no idea why you weren't getting pressure. cot tank or not it should work if you screw it in and turn on the ASA
if you change the o-ring s to a different material , i've heard you can use c02 of them. I reccomend the use of a HPA tank thouhg. Any of them will do jsut know that bigger CI= more air and higher psi= more air as well. Also know that the metal tanks are super heavy in comparison to the fiber wrapped tanks.
hmm, the ASA seems fine to me. the problem is it is able to twist and the pin is able to come out enough I think. But when I screw in the Tank and try to turn it, it will start to turn but then stops when I know it can turn more. any reason why it would do this? Should i try instead to turn it all the way out and then screw in the tank or is that a bad idea?
I do turn my ASA to the on position but as I said before it doesn't turn all the way when I have the tank on. I can only turn it a little bit. Then I can't turn it anymore. Obviously its not piercing the tank because I get 0 reading on my pressure gauge.
Turn it on before to screw the tank, and you'll have your air. However, I strongly recommend that you get a HPA tank : Co2 will not performed as well as HPA, and could destroy the marker internals. There's a debate on this, but Kingman recommend to use only HPA.
Hmm, well I was finally able to get pressure into my gun. I was still using the CO2 tank since I haven't gone to get a HPA tank. I had set the pressure to about 250PSI on the gauge of the gun. I was testing it out a little and after a few shots the gun just started spewing out CO2. I turned it off quickly. What could of caused this? and what could possibly be damaged because of it?
Is it comig outta the tank area? Either way just drop some lube down the hole in yor asa, the ndry fire a couple times ,should kill the problem. If not check your cup seal in hte front block to make sure it is sitting correct.

odd. when yous ay spew, do you mean a slow hiss or a sudden rush?
if it' ts the first it's a bad cupseal.
if it's the second i believe that your valve is leaking. have yout ried cocking it before airing it up to see if ti changes anything?
It was a sudden rush of CO2 that came out. The whole gun was really cold afterwards. I haven't tried it again cause so much rushed out that the tank is probably half full doesn't have enough to fire again. I'll probably try it again but this time with a an HPA tank instead.
The reg can cauz this too, it happened to me. I had to put 2-3 drop of oil in the ASA and dry shoot about 50 times with air (no CO2) and this solve the problem.
Try those solution, and bring back your feedback.
Check in my sig, there's alot information about the VS2.
