Alright,I'm wanting a gun to play speedball with,mabey woodsball...but mostly just speedball.I was looking at the Tippmans or mabey the Spyders.Any suggestions?And what helmet do you suggest?I'm wanting to get quality without spending a fortune.I'd say around $175 for a gun and the helmet no more than $50.

And yes,I can take the hits.I've been shot multiple times by my brother.
if ur gonna play more speedball than woodsball definatly dont get tipmans they r great for woodsball but horrible for speedball. and im not a big fan of spyders i dont think they r very good. a proto SLG is for 200 and a great gun but if u rly cant spend that much, i no im gonna get flamed for saying this but, i would reccomend an ion. ions arfe 165 and im gonna be honest i have a ion and wen its all stock its pretty crappy, BUT the 1 thing i love about the ion is it is so upgradebale. so if u cant come up with alot of money for a good gun then u could buy an ion and upgrade it wen u have the money to make it a great gun. a upgraded ion is a great gun. as for the mask i would definalty spend the extra $10 and get a pro flex, they r imo the 2nd best mask on the market (1st is i3 pros). the mask is ur most important piece of equipment, yes more important than ur gun, u cant shoot what u cant see and want to be comfortable. if u cant spend the extra money the vents cylus is around $40 and i here is a great mask for the price. as of right now i have a v force pro vantage and i love it. its $30 and never fogs and is pretty comfortable, but i only play speedball so idk if it would fog in a long game of woodsball.

i find it strange that you are recomending the slg over the spyders when the slg is a more advanced version of a pirahna that is HPA only, it uses a sear. if your looking at performance, the vs1 and vs2 are far better choices

Sad thing,that's the way it is here.Me and one of my co-workers are the only ones who get outside to do something.I train horses(and soon play paintball)...and he plays airsoft.

I'll probably just get the Spyder Vs1 and a good helmet and play,then save the rest for a better hopper.

sounds good, for the mask go try some on at a shop if you can. its good to know that not everyone who works at a gamestop is the same, i was in a gamestop yesterday, one of the guys had his hair straight down over half of his face (so you could only see the left half) ya that made it real easy to talk to him, and the other was too busy bragging about how fast he can get through RPGs

i hate spyders and i think they r just cheap guns and i personally thing the slg is the best gun for under $200

ok ummm dude she wants a gun that most likely runs off of CO2
and the SLG runs off of Compressed air, unless you use a anut-siphon hose. Plus, its an hour drive from here house to go et compressed air.

The VS1 is your best bet on your first gun. A fairly cheep mask would mabey be a proto.

next time you recomend a marker, try to look at the market with an un-bias view, just because your not a spyder fan doesnt mean everyone else in in the same boat, iv never owned one but its not like iv saying to go grab a dm because thats what i have experience with. Im not a fan of SP but ill still recomend the sp1 to someone who wants a compact milsim marker.

since they are both hpa only, go look at the stats between the slg and the vs2, youll find the vs2 is a much better deal, why do you think the slg is often passed over in favor of the pmr?

thats fine and all but the whole reason you are pointing him towards another marker is because you dont like the spyders. theres no rational for WHY he should look to the other markers besides the fact that you, for some reason or another, dont like them

you say you have used many different models, but how many have you owned?

I'm sorry you feel that way. The truth is that spyders have always been solid markers and that int he last few years especially, the quality and features of them has increased drastically. I dont' know if your friends nevre knew how to take car of them or what was going on, but I've yet to have a spyder give me a problem I can't diagnose or repair myself. I've owned quite of a few of them.

I agree completly with martix agent (yay i got your nae right...i thauhgt it was matrix agent... lol little dyslexic) Spyders are very solid markers but need a little more maintnance than a tippman. Prsonally i like to maintain my gun and it gives you the chance to explore your marker. And i also own 3 other spyder (victor, MR1, sonic) And i have had problems with them but, i have fixed them with patience and time...

Turbo323--tinkertex is a girl...check out the sig... when you were pointing towards HER you said "he"... im just pointing what sex they are... well the sig is gone but rememberer

Why?

I think everybody has there own preferences of what gun they prefer... kinda like cars. Ok its like... i hate ford but i love dodge. But ford trucks are good for... *ill keep my opinions to my self*...but dodge trucks are good for just about anything, hauling, climbing hills, running over a ford truck, and suiting your every need (like a woman)

Sorry got a little off track but Paintball markers are like guns. Im not fan of tippman i prefer spyder... its just all preference. So dont right off the back say spyders suck dont get it *not saying you did say it* But mabey SHE will like a VS2 over a whatever you recomend.

tippman = Ford
Spyder = Dodge

ive used several of my friends spyders and ive had problems with all of them icluding many ball breaks, leaks, very short battery life, random times wen the velocity would get very low. idk if my friends r just retarded and dont know how to take care of there guns or if spyders r just poorly made but ive used guns around the same price that preform much better (vibe, ion, SLG, wrath).

ball breaks-> not your markers fault. that's your hoppers fault

short battery life-> never experienced that. maybe you overcharged the batteries? I always ended up using 9v batteries and never had problems

low velocity-> Again, not the markers fault. That's your air sources problem It could also be not properly maintained(whihc is VERY simple to do)

leaks-> depends where it's at. It could very well be user error as well.

Well if its a non-pnumatic yes your gonna have some ball breaks (unless velocity is too high then welll...there ya go) leaks are easy to fix in most guns you either have a broken o-ring or you need to tighten theMacro line where the adaptor is and reg is

And since yo have used most electric guns (ion vibe slg wrath) that most likely means the vs1-3 and those 3 markers are very well built... I mean come on...break beam eyes... Just clean the eyes and bam...no more ball break
