I would change one thing in your comment:

they just don't work all that well for their price as paintball markers.

100% agreement with these two posts, for the money and keeping milsim look in mind crawdaddy has the best list going there, if you want it to work off CO2 however you will have to chop that list down to....well the SP1, as i recomended above, and im not sure about the ATS markers, everything else in the milsim market that will work off co2 will be a blowback of sorts and have no more preformance than a rental

jelous of what though? if you want them to be jelous of the look then thats easy enoufgh but i can tell you from experience that only works for the first few times out, a buddy of mine dumped CRAZY amounts of money into a A-5 but after a few times out and people realized it gives him no advantage over the basic spyders that were also out there, at the same time he got that i also got my dm6, people thought i would be seen too easy in the woods since its blue, so everyone was too concerned that my buddies A-5 with milsim attachments would give him some huge advantage that they all worried about him too much, well now when we go out we always stack the teams against me for the most part, i mean my buddy is a good player but everyone realizes that the money he dumped into this a-5 is for not now.

getting HPA would be the best idea but if thats not the case i still have to really push the SP1, for the money of a decent spyder you have the unbalanced spool valve preformance with a mil sim look and it works off of CO2

My buddy Mark told me I should look into gettin maybe a vibe.I told him I want a milsim looking marker. He laughed to.Is the SP1 anygood? It looks ok I guess.I plan on using the milsim gun I get for when me and my buddies play in the woods but Ill prolly just use my spyder mr1 on our field we made. The mr1 is like 2 pounds fully loaded so I get right in peoples business with it.I charge to the front wall we have and take them out.Its funny because I bought that last year for something to plink around with and my other buddies bought some JT gun and a crappy Brass Eagle. Both crapped out in unworkable condition after like 5 uses and my spyder still tears people up.I love that cheap gun.lol.But I want something i can brag about.Something that when its in my hands pumps me up.In the woods Im more of a sit back and pick people off kind of person.Any suggestions?By the way Im looking into getting this 72/3000 psi tank incase i get an electric marker. And for the record I looked up reviews of the Smart Parts SP8 and people love it!!

Here's the thing about milsim markers, they're no better than regular speedball markers, and looks mean nothing in terms of performance. The sp1 is the same as the vibe, just longer and bulkier.

You can play woods with a speedball marker. Hell, you can get a speedball marker in camo colours and then hand your friend's asses with it.

I dont really like the way all speedball markers look the same.I like how milsim markers look original and if theyre a reliable speedball gun on the inside id go with the milsim marker even if you have to pay a little more. Its just what pumps me up.Sorry if it upsets you guys that I want a pretty marker that works good but thats what I want. And I have a question.I was on a tippmann a5 forum looking at stuff and some guy bought a a5 from someone that was covered in dry paint and the paint on the gun was chipping off and it looked disgusting!!Some guy replied "whoever sold that to you deserves to play with an Ion for a year!"I laughed because one of my friends bought an Ion and loves it but why do so many people hate Ions??

well, if you get the sp1 you're getting pretty much an ion, with no eyes but a low force bolt. They're pretty good markers and have that milsim look you want.

People's hate for ions is inherent to people's smart parts hate. Ions were the first true electropneumatic marker that was affordable. But they're hard to work on, very poorly put together and have low quality standards. People hate smart parts because they brought the industry to a halt over a patent lawsuit for something they didn't create but engulfed a large definition of what "electropneumatic" means.

For the life of me i'd never own anything smart parts, no matter how much their products have improved in the last 2 years.

By all means get the sp1, don't let anyone's personal bias prevent you from getting a marker, they're good.

when you say you found reviews, im assuming you looked at paintballreview.com, that is a horrid site to actually give you a decent review, people always ALWAYS give the shinny new thing they got a 10. the sp8 is basically an ion with a LOT of plastic attached to it and they give it a huge pricetag, not all that different than the sp1

as for smart parts i wont go as far to say they are bad as a whole, its just that most of their markers have bugs or can be better with something very simple, and they are usually overpriced.

if your going to get a HPA tank there are a few other markers you can look into, the Bob long M-tac which is right around $1k....and to be honest i forgot the name of the other, someone help me out, its the mini in a milsim shell, but if my memory serves correct it is around $400, and thats a pretty good price for what your getting, not sure what they are going for used, once someone gives me a name ill look it up real quick

Thats a sick looking gun.

And you'll actually get good performance because it is basically a mini.

EDIT: Anyone else think its modeled after an MP7?

Yeah the tm7 looks pretty zazzy! Is it going to be reliable enough to tackle rain games etc?I wouldnt mind getting that maybe. As for the bob long...i WISH i had the dough to cough up for that beast.Thats probably the most real looking gun out there in my opinion. Its definitely gorgeous but not for $1K.Does anyone know if the Sim 5 or the TM7 are reliable and accurate?I was also looking at the Qloader SSI today.Thats a sick looking gun.Anything on that??

Q loader is a overpriced spring that only holds 100 paintballs. that q loader marker is a very basic blowback with a q loader configured so you have no choice BUT to use their system. the TM7 will handel rain games no problem, tm7 will be reliable as long as you keep up with regular maintanance. just keep it lubed and change the o-rings every 20 cases or so, o and just keep it clean inbetween outings, you can get it plenty dirty during games and i think it will do just fine. HPA and the TM7 is EASILY the best way to go for you
