freezing my gun?

So i read that sticky about hpa but still have a question. my friend said hpa is better not only cuz it improves consistancy but also wont "freeze" my gun. He basically said hpa is healthier for my gun. I was curious about this cuz after laying out a few balls or so my barrell gets cold and if i dry shoot, that white stuff comes out and i didnt know if any of that would start screwing up my shots? especially since im ganna be installing an RT and cyclone on my 98c and thus be laying out alot more balls now (plz no advice on how cyclone's suck).

So can someone give me some insight on whether the combination of C02, RT, and cyclone feed is ganna end up screwing up my gun?

C02 + RT + Cyclone = ???

thx in advance

what happens since CO2 is stored in the tank as a liquid is as you shoot some of it boils off and turns to a gas, but at higher rates of fire you are using CO2 faster than it can boil off and turn to a gas, so soon you start to siphon liquid co2 up into your marker, as the liquid boils to a gas it gets very cold, so if its boiling off while in contact with o-rings the o-rings get very cold and brittle, thats when they are very easy to break and offten do.

Cyclone is not the best idea IMO if your using CO2 (well i rarely think its a good idea) if you siphon liquid co2 up into the marker its also going into the cyclone and causing problems there. best idea at this point honestly is to sell this marker and get something else, for the price of the cyclone and RT alone you can get a electronic spyder with eyes, if you need to still use CO2 look at the SP1 and vibe both are a mid level marker with a budget price that will work off of CO2

but if you want to keep the 98 my best advise would be to switch to HPA and get a good forcefeed hopper, the reason is both of these can go onto whichever marker you get next, if you get the cyclone you can not transfer it over to whichever marker you get next

right now actionvillage is selling 68/4500 for $100 which is an amazing deal, usually they are around $160, for a HPA tank you must have a regulator on the tank or you will blow apart your marker, if you can scrape together $100 this is by far the best way to go as long as you can get a 4500 fill (if your local field only fills to 3k theres no point in buying a 4500 tank) if not look to get a 72/3k, they are cheaper but dont hold as much

even if the place cant fill 4500 he should still get the 4500 tank caus someday someone could come along and be able to fill 4500 and he wouldnt have a 4500 tank

umm, well thats up to you, it could happen, is it worth spending the extra? thats up to you, first and formost though call around and see what they do fill to, i know there are still places out there that dont have HPA, in which case it would be useless to buy a hpa tank

The only problem you'll have will be shooting faster than your hopper can feed and chopping a ton of paint.

agreed^ no point in shooting faster if you cant feed it in fast enoufgh to actually get it out the barrel in one piece, get a good hopper and HPA tank first, after that your best option is to start fresh with a new marker, for the money you will spend on a RT and about $75-$100 that you could sell the 98 for you can get a marker that will fire just as fast, be lighter smoother and just all around better
