What should I do?

Hello, I went to my local field yesterday with my GX-4 cocker and my stock ion. Me and my cousin played for about 6hrs we had fun and loved it, well worth the price to play. But none the less here is the problem. Well my ion kept up in the morning till the big dogs showed up, most people were playing with field rentals, the ion was easy on air because we weren't laying out that much paint.
We could get about 500rds out of the tank on semi-auto and thats ok the accuracy was ok but noticed that the sloppy trigger effected that alot, the distance of a shot was about 150ft maybe more but probably not over 200 without severly lobbing a shot the field chronoed the guns at 270-280 which when we first chroned this thing it was howning at about 391-397 the guy at the field about craped down his leg, and we where using RPS paint which thats what I have used since I was in high school, liked it and still liked it. The problems we are having is that it seems that sometimes we can't get any try straight shots that are accurate even using a rest while shooting or bracing the gun on something. But some other guns could. I'm looking to replace this thing or severly upgrade it i'm kinda up in the air on what to do. Would like to have something better that won't break the bank.

ION Setup;
Smart Parts ION
EyeForce Hopper
45/3000psi Nitro tank

The second gun I had was a ANS GX-4 Autococker, my god this gun turned heads today when the owner of the field about choked he said that he hadn't seen a original cocker in the field that wasn't severly modded in about 5 - 6yrs maybe longer. I enjoyed the sound and listening to people talk but hated that my arm about fell off after about 2hrs of playing and this thing could keep up with the field rental mech and electro cockers, but had no real distance and most of my shot would not break with making contact with someone 150 - 200ft away it was sent to 280-292 and shot ok but again a mech cocker at stock from ans, metal bolt, stock hammer and valves, got jackhammer 2 and there complete front block and pneumatics. Is there anything I can do to make this dinosaur scream or am I stuck with short range and slow velocity, the field tech and it took everything apart and re-lubed and loctited all fittings cleaned the valve and reg and timed it to the field and maxed the velocity out as much as we could, we got it down to 180 - 200psi chroning at 280 - 292 and they let me play with it at that speed since it wasn't electro and i was at a disadvantage eventually they let me crank it upto chrono 310 - 309 and it shot consistantly, but the downfall we adjucted the psi and velocity to get as much distance as possible, still yet was great close quarters but if having to shoot any distance I was getting reamed out. Any suggestions that I should do, here is the setup.

ANS GX-4 Autococker (Completely Stock)
45/3000psi nitro tank
egg hopper
rps paint
2-piece ans barrel(I think it sucks)

I couldn't keep up with some ego's, dm's, angels, mini's that came out and espically a planet eclipse regional rep was there playing with a gun that hasn't hit the market yet and a new planet elcips hopper that holds about 300 balls and let me tell you his gun was quiet and extremely fast, i'm glad he was on my team i know i couldn't keep up. He said this gun hasn't been released till sometime is month and would push 2100 - 2700 each but he could get us one for a little less around 1200 - 1500 and throw in a bunch of other stuff from PE pants shirt pods, hoppers tanks, if we wanted to advertise but i don't have that kind of money to burn.

But i didn't care for the look of thoses guns they look like cheap toys that aren't cheap I think there should be some visual intimidation there.

Please leave some response to this I know I'm good on the field I took alot of people out yesterday, but had to work extremely hard due to my guns/marker performance, only took about 7 - 8 hit in 6hrs not bad i think for first time this year playing at a field and not woodsball.

So help with any suggestion if you can, it would be greatly appreciated.

THANKS
MEDIC-7

I didn't know a marker could go to 390fps and still works.
May I also ask how a sloppy trigger affected accuracy? But yea, if you want better accuracy you'll have to get a new barrel, the stock ones are no good.

About the dm's,egos etc...don't worry too much about it, just get some fresh paint and a good barrel and your set. I have a mini with a tadao board but shoot no more than 5bps, there's no reason to throw some much paint for rec use.

And PE is making a hopper?! I hope your not mistaking the brands. And a marker that's 2100-2700? I don't think they're dumb enough to do that.

If you want to keep up with those more expensive markers, get a QEV and new trigger. Those 2 things will allow the Ion to keep up with any marker made, including any prototype PE's. It won't be as efficient, pretty, light or smooth as there are some markers, but it will be every bit as fast if you're fingers can pull it. I personally also would get a bolt out back body for it, because otherwise you'll eventually break the marker trying to perform routine maintenance.

Most every field should have a fps limit of 300 fps. So an Autococker shooting at 290 using the same paint as a DM or an Ego will break the same if said DM/Ego is shooting 290 also. The marker has absolutely NO effect on distance it will shoot. 290 fps is 290 fps whether it's shot from a Stingray, Talon, Ion, Autococker, DM9, SL94 Ego, or a Marq Victory.
