New to the game!!

Im Chris, have played a few times, my friends and I decided to get our own guns. I picked up a gameface vexor eye, I got it cheap because the air pressure gauge broke and they just replced it with a bolt. Gun works great, but I would like to get a new gauge, does anyone know where or how I can get a replacement one. It seems that the company that made the marker doesn't make them anymore. Also, I read a bunch of reviews before I got the gun, it seems eveyone agreed its a good starter gun, and recomendations on what to do to make it better?

Thanks for any advice.

Chris

Any paintball gauge will work, go to a paintball website or store, and in the section where they sell tanks and whatnot, there should be gauges too

Spyder pilot knockoff I believe. Should be a fine little gun to have. The reg may eventually give you trouble, you can more than likely put a spyder frontblock on the gun and run a normal reg(or respring it and run it HP and gut the the thing...)if you have issues.

If that's a slim striker body, it would be a fun one to "spimmy" since it's already drilled for Break beam eyes

If it's stock, get a new barrel. Stock barrels aren't that good. Otherwise, I think you should be good to play.

Shiner which SETexas field do you play at? I've met dozer, and reffed the other field a little.

I'll be back in that area in about three weeks reffing and playing, I grew up in Vidor and am finishing my degree at this point at A&M

Have to agree with Shiner as well. Only upgrade things that are universal, ie a new tank, hopper, asa, etc. Only gun specific upgrades I'd look at was a lever lock feedneck, simply because it's a nice, cheap, perk and I LOATHE twist lock necks.

I wouldn't mind getting a $30 J&J barrel for any gun
Cheap and cleans out breaks amazingly well

100% agree, still have mine for my impulse. 12"-16" your choice, i also agree on the HPA and hopper idea, feedneck, if the stock one holds a full hopper well id say keep it and dont bother getting another, if its giving you issues then sure replace it

Lately I've been playing at Cody's field (SETX). I've played at Brads before though. Played Sunday at SETX, and have a scenario coming up in Houston on the 20th. I probably won't go out and play locally until the beginning of October, feel free to pm when your in town and up for playing. I'm in Port Neches actually, just put Beaumont because more people know of it.

Well since I paid 50$ for the gun 3 barrels, 2 masks, 2 co2 tanks, 1000 balls, an a really sweet back pack carrying case I'm going to leave it as is. After I've played a few weeks and really enjoyed it Im thinking about getting a tipman a-5. I like the way it feels. Do you all have any suggestions on a goo intermediate gun to buy that I can run with for a couple years. I'm gonna keep the vexor eye so if my girl decided to come out or a fried is interested in the sport there is an extra marker. I played with some local guys this weekend gawd it's fun!!! Like I said any suggestions on a permanent marker that'll last a while let me know. I really enjoyed sitting back and picking off people running for our flaag. But did better when I was running and gunning.

At the risk of sounding like a fanboy, get an Automag if you want something that will last you a long, long time.

Either that, or pick up an used 'cocker. They're very reliable if you take care of them, and can teach you a lot about how paintball markers work.

Plus, you get to say you own an Autococker.
