Hello, I am a new paintballer kinda. I played a couples times and then decided to screw around in the woods with out a mask and took one to the eye. I am now partially blind in my left eye but, it has been about 5 years now since i have touch a paintball gun and might like to try it out again. I was wondering if a Tippmann Pro Platinum series gun would be good to start out with.
agreed, there are a lot of good markers out there for a beginner right now it just depends on how much you want to spend

Maximum of $200. Gotta save room for a really good mask and a nut cup. I'm not taking any chances this time. For all i know i could lose a nut out their.
vibe is better but not by much, they have the same guts, you can upgrade them but its not really worth it in the low/mid end market since when is all said and done you have dumped more money into the marker than it would cost to buy a high end marker that would shoot much better than even this upgraded marker. as for the vibe, feedneck, on/off, barrel, and trigger if you cant stand the stock one, QEV if you want since they are pretty cheap, after that stop, nothing else will be worth it

All the Vibe might need is a BlackHeart board
Trigger is metal and roller bearing
QEV negates the low force bolt
Already has an ego style clamping feedneck
On/off would be nice though
I saw the blackheart board that is $94, but whats this other crazy stuff?? sorry for not know the terms. Also, should i get the blackheart board right away?
you can get a stock blackheart vibe for around $220, the biggest advantage it has is that the blackheart board comes with eyes, eyes will allow the marker to "see" the paint in the breach before it will fire, if no paint is in there it will not fire
stock vibe has a low force bolt which is nice but eyes are superior
lets see, roller bearing triggers use small ball bearings to allow the trigger to pivot, makes trigger pull very smooth (and i was not aware this came stock)
QEV stands for quick exhaust valve, alows the marker to fire faster and cycle quicker but in installing it in the stock vibe (without blackheart) will negate the low force bolt, if you have a good hopper this shouldnt be an issue
clamping feedneck holds the hopper onto the marker, always a good thing if you want your hopper to stay on top
and a on/off asa is a asa (air source adaptor, where you screw the tank in) that has an on/off valve as to allow you to remove air from the marker without taking the tank off, also makes putting the tank on and taking it off much much easier
