Hi guys, i've just decided tog et back into paintball. I was using a tippmann A5 for about 2 years when i was 12-14 and i quit. I'm now 16 and decided to get back into it. Im looking for a new gun tho and i have a few options. I can choose from a Dye DMC, 2008 PMR proto matrix rail, or a Planet Eclispe EGO 2008. What one do you guys this is the better gun?
The dye dmc is old and not a very good marker, the 05 matrix was better than it. dont consider it.
The ego 08 is by far the best you have listed, though it is way more expensive than the others. I think 08s are still going for around $500. An Ego 06 may be what you mean. They go for around $350 or so and are better than the pmr or dmc.
Well, the name of the gun the guy i'm planning on buying the EGO off is said it was a Planet Eclipse 07 Ego. Is that an actual model of the gun? If so is it a good gun.

Loud as hell though, I was honestly thinking about getting an Ego until I heard one being shot
I guess I've been spoiled by spool valves; may shoot an Ego, but not own one unless I can get one for dirt cheap
Well, i might be buying mine for 250 dollars and it was used about 2 times. I'd only be going like once or twice a month or so. I dont think the loudness would be a concerning factor for me for just recreational use.
That was the turn off for me too, there was a very loud one right next to my head that scared the crap outta me during a scenario game.
Make sure you get a kick2 kit for it because egos are kickers.
egos are not that loud. They shoot great and are one of the most popular guns of all time. I wouldn't hesitate to get one And an 07 for $250 is a GREAT deal. I would buy it and I am a spoolvalve fan (ego's use a poppet valve).
Ha, well my friend stopped paintballing so he has no use for the hopper, and my friends friend was part of the team dynasty so he has tons of exxtra hoppers and tanks
