which marker to get a5 or x7

i want to buy a new marker and im torn between the tippmann a-5 and x7. i really just want a better gun since ive been using a piranha r6 which sucks. i wanted to get the new marker with the response trigger and maybe upgrade to a flatline barrel. what is the main advantages of going with the x7?

the x7 gives you more pointless plastic for your buck. If your getting a tippmann, make it a base 98, and don't spend a dime on upgrades.

Don't know how much your wanting to spend but, stay away from tippmann. For value check out a EW-1,, or A SP Vibe.

Tippmanns are good markers. They just have a crappy "clamshell" body. I'd say go with a used 98 custom. You can find them on ebay for about $30-50.

black heart sp1 makes it go even faster and gives up a low force bolt for eyes.
Great marker for the price, cant beat it.

forget the sp1, go vibe for the double trigger (same marker on the inside) BH board will give you more firing options, once you get to 15bps there is no need to go any faster (and in reality most people dont shoot over 12 or so)

if he doesnt like the fish he is shooting now the ew1 is going to feel almost the same, fish are a spyder clone remember? and while the ew1 is going to be a good marker it sounds like he is ready for something a little more advanced, any tippmann is also going to be low end, if you dont like your fish you will hate a tippmann

How do you have a clone of a clone the STBB design isn't exactly a Spyder original. The only advantage to buying the X7 is that the marker was designed from the ground up to accept those snap on milsim parts like stocks and shrouds so if you want to have your marker as heavy and scary looking as possible go with the X7.

I've always been a fan of the A5, Just because what they say about the X7 just isn't true. You have WAY more addons and whatnot for the a5, and the a5 is cheaper. If you're looking for a scary milsig marker, i'd go with the a5.

yes because buying into the tippmann upgrade treadmill and bolting a bunch of plastic on the outside of the marker makes it so much better on the inside

i say dont even get a tippmann now a days if your looking into a semi auto marker, cant go wrong with the old pumps but spyder beats out tippmann in every way shape and form and costs less.

iv said it before ill say it again, in todays market there is no point in buying a tippmann new or otherwise unless for the look alone
