Do expansion chamers really do anything? Like if I buy one will I notcie anymore consistancy/accuracy or is it just to prevent damage to your gun? And will a reg work and regulate without an anti-siphone C02 tank if its not cold out?

All I know is that regulators perform better than expansion chambers in certain cases. A Palmer Stabilizer is something I'd suggest if you can afford it. It goes for around $100.

Expansion chambers give co2 more ambient heat to use to expand into the gas co2 form (what you want). If you are using a Pirhanna like your signature says, you have no need to worry about liquid co2 harming your gun.

Regulartors are more commonly used with nitro systems, what they do is keep the pressure more stable, just more efficient and regulate the ammount of air used. I actually don't think i have seen even pictures of someone using a regulator with CO 2 If its even possible. Can someone let me know about that

i think you can use regs with co2, but i don't think they have much effect, if any

the expansion chamber just gives the CO2 more time to expand before its shot therefor making your FPS more consistent.

a regulator will do the same thing as an expansion chamber in the effect that the co2 has to pass through the area of the regulator, allowing the gas to expand sort of like an expansion chamber would, but using an expansion chamber would not be a good idea if you're using nitro, as i think it restricts the flow of the nitro gas?? not sure on that one, but overall a regulator is much better, and is able to be used on most any gun, now or in the future if you would decide to purchase a new marker... expansion chambers are ok, but if u have the money, go for a reg.....

Actually it has nothing to do with "time to expand". It has to do with more surface area to get heat from. It takes heat for liquid co2 to expand to a gas, and it takes the heat from the ambiant air and the surface of the chamber. That is why expansion chambers have many small chambers instead of one large one, so there's more surface area.
