Another gun under 200 question

basically looking for a gun under $200 that meets the following.

range and accuracy.

plus the option to upgrade or modify.

Something that more or less will take a beating and work well in the dust, dirt and hot weather.

easy maintenance.

spyder imagine is the best gun for the money in my opinion. Its fast, reliable, easy to take care of, and upgradeable.

I don't know how good they are compared to the imagine, but I love my tippmann 98 custom.
It's extremely tough, and massively upgradeable. Works well in cold weather too.
The stock barrel is rubbish, but after you get a new barrel, it shoots great.
I think the retail price is like 129.99 or something.

Yeah, and for a little more you can get a 98 custom with everything. Hopper/squeegy/mask/plug/parts

post counts back. i advise you don't get an autococker, as, judging by your post count,(which is finally back) and that you asked for easy maintenance and it be under $200 this is your first gun. Autocockers usually require high maintenance, some of which you can't do yourself until your more experienced, like being timed. I have a spyder tl-x, it is mechanical, but it can shoot pretty quickly, and you always have the option to upgrade to an electric trigger. The strock barrel isn't that good, but with a good barrel, like maybe the progressive or teardrop, it can be a pretty good marker. with the capability to be upgraded. Thats my $0.02. The Tl-x also isn't that expensive if you wait for a few months maybe for the prices to drop, but only if your short on $

Seeing as you think that his post count judges whether or not this is his first gun, you are an obvious noob...

You should look into a Spyder Imagine, Spyder E-99 or one of the Piranha e-forces.

NO FLAMING!

Ok i guess the cocker is to high of maintenence. A spyder isn't accurate AT ALL (stock guys stock...) But if you are willing to upgrade a gun a bit a spyder would work well.

Here is what you could do. A spyder Imagine 120$. TearDrop barrell 45$. PE Regulator 30$. Macro line with fittings 10$. 205$ 5 bux over plus shipping and handeling comes to about 212$. Still very sweet and I gaurentee you it will be accurate.

umm...your deffinitly gonna need an e-hopper with an imagine.

i suggest a tippy($120) with a j&j ceramic($30), a mask($30), and a 20oz CO2 tank($20)...total $200
the one above would end up costing you more since with an imagine an e-hopper is almost a neccessity.

How could I forget the hopper!!!!! Ok a Empire reloader and ditch the regulator. Phew that was close. The hopper is 43$. A little over budget but if u switch the teardrop for proggresive then its good. And you save around 12$ or so.

All the maintenance a cocker needs is a few drops of oil in the ASA after a days play, and wiping down the body and the bolt. Cockers rarely come out of timing. I know several people that have had their cockers since 2000 and haven't timed it since they first got it.

My second gun was a cocker, and even then I was a newb. It was good until I let someone touch it, that shouldn't have touched it.

As for e-hoppers, DEFINATLY get an old-school Revolution. They will last forever. I swear, cockroaches and these will be the only thing to survive a nuclear blast. I would give a link to some but since they are on another forum I can't. I will PM you with links to the forsale threads. I have an oldschool revvy for my cocker and I love it, it's a piece of artwork.

Ted

i would suggest you also look at some of the cheaper, mechanicle spyders. i think the victor is around $60

i have an off-topic question, would a revvy be fast enough for an autococker(2004 verticle)?
