New to PB, want a marker, what else do I need?
Right, I'm in the UK and I've just started getting into paintball. I already own a mask, I have a JT Proshield with a fan and I'm very pleased with it. I want to get my first marker. I have been reading about and I see that th Spyder Imagine '04 is a recommended marker to get.
I will need to buy it from a shop in the US that ships to the UK as the prices here are extortionate and for the price of a marker in the UK I can get a marker, hopper, extra barrel,CO2 and shipping to the UK from the US.
My real question is, what else will I need? Does the co2 fit straight to the gun or will I need a regulator and hose? What other kit might I need? I don't want to have to keep getting stuff shipped when I can do it in one large order!
Thanx in advance for any help!

The co2 cylinder fits right into the ASA(Air Source Adapter), the Imagine 2k4 already has an asa so you do not need a hose of any sort. I would recommend the Spyder Imagine, not 2k4, its cheaper and works EXACTLY the same. For the Imagine a new barrel is a great choice. I would highly recommend the Custom Products 1 piece or the J & J Ceramic barrels. The are great barrels for under 50$. for co2, get a 20 oz co2. For a hopper(loader), get a 12V Revolution X-board or a Empire Reloader. BOth are great hoppers. IF you have some extra cash, get an eVLution II hopper. They feed pretty fast and hold about 190 pb's.
You may want a drop forward which balances the gun more but if you want to hold the tank to your should leave the asa as is. For basic play, these are the main upgrades you should have.

what you need all depends how long you wanna stay with the marker. If you want to stay withit for longer than you should also buy things like an expansion chamber and get your internals polished(at a local pro shop)

Start off with the stuff that you need not the stuff that you want... Because if you do not feel like playing paintball anymore (shame on you) then you just wasted quite a bit of money...
Usually i get cheap paint for like $36 dollars in US so it might be a little bit expensive over there...
Also CO2 is cheap.... but make sure you have a place close to refill your containers

If you plan to get the imagine get an electric hopper the 12v revolution x-board is good, a 20oz co2 tank, a squeegee with the marker. However if you decide to get a mechanical gun get a basic gravity fed hopper will work fine

With the stuff people have said above, you might want to get a harness as well, to hold extra paint while you play. Don't forget to buy pods!

I suggest when you first buy your marker play with it and see what you don't like about it, before you go and blow a couple hundred dollars on parts. If the gun works fine for you out of the box why change?

it depends on what kinda games your gonna play, too. If your gonna mostly play woods, an electric hopper isn't gonna do you much good, but if speed balls your thing, go for it. But like Tedrezz said, you prolly dont need much whenyou first start playing anyways. You have to get a feel for your marker, decided its pros and cons, and if there are cons, ones that you feel you need to fix, then you can get other accessories which will enhance that aspect of your marker. Dont just get stuff be cause you want to have stuff, or to say you have it, get it because it serves a purpose, and specifically a purpose that will help an aspect of your play that you actually need.
