I know warpig and vintagerex maintain a list of stolen serial numbers.

Those might be a good place to look.

Also run the seriel# through all the major forums. pbf, pbn, pbc, pbr, pbm, rsp, etc.

Check on the markers website to see if that number has been registered. When I got my old mag, I registered the serial number on Airgun.com

So maybe you could try to find a place to see if the serial number is already registered.

I think that should be pretty good. Just wait a bit to see if you get any respsonses. Did you post the number to see if anyone recognizes it?

Why are you worried about it being stolen?

Haha, that's good suspicion for it being stolen. At least your checking.

GO to your local police station, and then ask them if they can run the numbers on your paintball gun to see if it's stolen. Most people keep an inventory of serial numbers and the item so that if they get stolen the just report that inventory to the police. It's a very smart idea to do. That way you don't get in trouble and if it's stolen you can submit that inventory list to the police and they can check it.

Here's how it works.

Someone's autococker is stolen.
The guy submits that item and serial number to the police.
The guy who stole it sells it to you.
You go check it out with the police.
The police then realize that that autococker is stolen and alert you and the person who it was stolen from.

You don't get in trouble for posession of stolen property, you can identify the thief, he gets caught, and everybody is happy. You may/may not get ur money back.

You can get in SERIOUS trouble for posession of stolen property. if you so much as think it's stolen have the numbers checked.

thats alot of work and trouble for a 300 dollar item. The police can also confinscate till they find out. No one tries so hard over a cocker like that. There are thousands much like it so stolen guns are near imposible to find.

im sorry to say you are better off buying it or saying you think its stolen and move on. If I remember right you weren't getting the best deal on it so it wouldn't be worth it.
