pump gun
i know there are more guys in here willing to help in this section than the pump section, so what is a good pump gun that can hold a standard hopper and standard co2/hpa screw in tank

Well, it all depends on WHY you want a pump.
Some people like that its harder to play, and makes paintball more challenging
Some people like that they use less paint, and switch to pump when they run low.
Some people want to "relive" the old pump-only days.
Some people are just bored.....
etc
A great choice is the old Traccer/Maverick pump. It was the "standard" pump in the early 90s, and still VERY common. Its the standard nelson-setup, and pretty cheap.
At the other end of the scale is the Phantom. Functionally the same as the Traccer, but rather expensive due to the "cool factor".
If you like Tippmanns, look for an old SL/SL2. Built like tanks, and pretty cheap.
Snipers are nice choices and fairly cheap. No autotrigger, but always easily upgradable to cockers.
If you have money to burn, MANY shops make 'HIGH-END' pumps, like Carters (Nelson) and Palmers (Sheridan).
If you DON'T have money to burn, get a Tigershark. People will snicker, but its good enough to play actual paintball (unlike the Talon/Blade/etc).

actually, the tigershark is one of the more impressive BE markers IMO. It beats the hell out of most of their semi guns in accuracy.

The traccer does I think.
And you can always use a 20oz tank on them because the spot where you hook up the 12 grams has to have an adaptor to use a 12grame. So I think most of the time you can hook a normal tank up to it directly.
If not, you can buy an adaptor.

well if ur hammerin that trigger that semi won't be very accurate.
I definitley wouldn't reccomend getting a tigershark. There are going to be WAY too many snickers. I'd look into a tippmann sl 68, 9 ounce co2, and a 200 round hopper. That's about all you will need unless u want a bigger tank. 9 ounce would be a good deal for a gun that ur just probably gonna be shooting as a sniper or such.

I had a friend get shot once in an endurance match and he called himself out. I could tell right then that he didn't like getting shot and that's why he wanted to be a sniper. But truth is in xball how in the hell u gonna snipe someone if you are getting pinned down by a 20+bps marker?

Playing pump is fun, if everyone else has a pump. I remember back during my first 2-3 monthes of paintball I did really good with just a Blade. Then my friends got better guns so I moved up.

They are a bit of a pain to fill or even find for that matter, but the 4oz or 3.5oz tanks are great for pumps that use continuous air. It gives you the best of both worlds.... More air meaning less changing of 12 grams and light weight compared to 9oz-ers and above.

I suggest any of the Kingman Hammers. I thought there was only two versions but... They are very accurate. I have one. Mine only takes 12 grams. Anyone know where to get an adapter?

Yeah, some of my favorite games were with BE talons. We were all shooting the same crappy guns so the playing field was level and it all relied on skill. The most intense game was a 10 rnd limited match. We would do anything we could to get the opponents to waste their valuable shots. Welcome to the world of pumps.

Acctually I think U should post in the Pump Forum - We do try to help U know allthough I try to help here as well.
If U want to improve your game and U allready have a SEMI there are a couple of things U Will want:
* C/A - i.e. don't go stock.
* No bigger then a 12 oz tank, U won't need it anyway.
* A Anti-Syphon or a Syphon. I prefer a Syphon since I can use lighter springs that way.
* A accurate marker - since U will be fighting at a 1/4th to 1/10 of the ROF U need to make your rounds count.
* A light pump action with Slamfire - hmmmm thats the verb the right term is.... don't remember however it is when you hold the trigger and just pump and the next round is fired automatically.
I havn't tried the Hammer but ppl seems to like it, but I would recommend getting a Phantom, a springkit, a 12 oz syphon and then use Ure regular Hopper and other stuff.
The Phantom barrel os good-very good from start but when I played tourney (only Pumps were legal then) the phantomplayers got a better ported barrel and a new bolt for their phantoms. If U can find an old Sterling STP that might be a good deal as well allthough spareparts are a little hard to find.
Now all those markers are in the 200++ range if U don't want to spend that much a Trracer with up:ed barrel and a Anti-Syphon will set U up. A syphon is not that good on a Trracer since U have the valve basically right behind the ball and I don't know if there are any good bolts to buy for the Trracer to distribute the gas evenly.

I think you ment auto-trigger frallen. But yea, Hammers are pretty damn good. They are accurate. But make sure to get one that will take big tanks. Mine only takes 12 grams. It sucks.

how do the WGP sniper autocockers stack up to other pump guns? and the term for the holding trigger and it shoots when you pump is called an 'autotrigger.'
