New to owning my own equipment!

Hi everyone,

I am new to owning my own equipment, not playing the sport. I just purchased a Spyder Victor II and have only put about 300 rounds through it, and already want to upgrade it. I realize I did not buy a $500 gun, but this gun is perfect for me and how much i play.

My question is what should be my first upgrade, where can i learn about the best equipment to buy, and where can i get the best prices?? I'm assuming i'll want to improve the bolt, and the barrel. I was thinking no more thatn $250 total in upgrades, thats about my limit right now!!! Thanks again for the help.

Lucid...

I wouldn't worry about the bolt... And we can only post xpaintball.com here because they sponsor the forum. A barrel will help you with your accuracy and possibly air efficiency as well. Look into saving for an HPA tank because the performance benefits from it outweigh ANYTHING else you could do to your marker.

High Pressure Air. Much better than CO2. Look in the Air Systems forum for more info on that. Check the Spyder forum for Spyder upgrades.

I would reccomend these:

HPA
Electronic hopper
Barrel
Regulator
Bolt
Internals

Check out the Spyder forum for more details.

you should just sell your gun and buy a better gun with that money after you buy electro hopper

high pressure air.
while normal tanks run on co2 this runs on compressed air. its also called CA and nitro.
the benefits are extensive, such as: HPA doesnt eat away the internals of some higher end guns(when you upgrade) and HPA is more consistent since it is never in a liquid form.

as far as the first upgrade deffinitly go with the barrel, get a J&J ceramic.

lots of people complain about not being able to post about anything other than xpaintball but i dont mind. I bought my stuff from there and it was fast and cheap. they have a great selection and at great prices and no i am not with xpaintball, even unofficialy.

the victor isnt electric, so theres no immediate need for an electric hopper. Get nitro first, then get a barrel. AFter that, consider getting an electric trigger and hopper.

With 250 dollars to spend, i would get a under 50 dollar barrel, (such as the teardrop) and then go straight for a 68/4500 hp tank, which on xpaintball runs about 200 dollars. I felt my freinds, it was so light. And, since you already have an hp tank, you wont need to worry about getting it if you decide to upgrade to a higher level marker such as an autococker.

I'd go with a new barrel first, and if you want the advantage that a regulated HPA system gives you for cheap, go with a decent CO2 regulator instead of a HPA tank+Regulator. You're not going to be firing enough with a mechanical gun to worry about freezing things.
Good luck!

Get a J&J Ceramic barrel to add to your gun and maybe get an electronic hopper. But get a better gun before you decide to get an HPA tank.
