Igot these from pb review
impulse
Period of
Product Use: 2 years 6 out of 8 people found this review helpful.
Paintball
Experience: 4 years
Similar
Products Used: WDP- 2003s (sexy gun), IR3,2002, 2000
Warped Sportz- Dark Angel v2.1
All kinds of cockers
Marker Setup: 2k2 Smart Parts IMPULSE, VISION Mod, Full Freak Kit, Jackhammer II LPR,Vertical Reg, Undertow Bolt, Demonic Strangler Low rise, SS Hammer, Slick Shot, I-Frame, CP Chrome Flame Drop, 68/4500 Centerflag Tank
Recommended
Upgrades: ^^Above...
Product Year: Unspecified
Strengths: -Low pressure --> low ball breakage
-Accurate
-A little heavy, but well weighted (esp with I-Frame)
-Insane ROF (esp with I-frame) (normal board capped at 13.7bps)
-THE MOST DEPENDANT marker I have ever used (NEVER breaks down)
Weaknesses: -Stock gun doesn't look as nice as Other high end guns
-Stock trigger isn't fast enough
Conclusion: Smart Parts has created one of the best high end guns on the market with the IMPULSE. Imps are sweeet. They really dont break down very often, have tons of good upgrades... I often considered getting a new angel (I have 2) and sell my imp.. but once I bought my I-Frame.. my 2003 and Dark 2.1 have seen the action from the staging area. Imps are now in high demand.. People have begun to realize their glory!

Igot these from pb review
Autococker
WGP Worr Blade
Kaner Barrel Kit
Orracle 3-way
Orracle Regulator
Black Magic Regulator
Grip (Low Rise)
HALO B
Drop Forward
Product Year: 2004
Strengths: Accuracy
Speed
Light
Short
Weaknesses: Ball Detent (defective)
Cocking Rod (comes loose)
Cocking Pressure (may need to be adjusted)
Review: Accuracy- Great! As far as accuracy goes, each ball landed on top of each other, NO JOKE! People thought that I had an ALL-AMERICAN or FREAK on it. And when I told them it was a stock WGP their jaws dropped! The only problem i have with the accuracy is when I chop a ball, then the balls goe everywhere (but thats only when I don't run my hopper on).
Speed- As far as mechanical autocockers go, this thing can go pretty fast. I'm not sure how fast I can go, but the trigger pull is really light, so you can rip without even trying to hard (be VERY carefull not to shortstroke!).
Weight- Combined with a 45ci tank (like the PMI I have), this gun is incredibly light. It makes moving really easy! Its no Shocker but it is definately nice change from my Tippmann.
Stock Parts- The stock parts are incredible for the price. The barrel is remarkable, the hinge trigger is fast, and the pnuematics are great (regulator is adjustable!) Not to mention the stock bottomline setup.
Looks- The milling is great, and combined with the chrome, it makes this one head turning marker!
The only a few problems that I have experiened so far:
Cocking Rod- After some games, the cocking rod screws loose, so after every game you should check it! Most autocockers have this problem so its no biggy.
Cocking Pressure- My gun wasn't cocking after a couple uses and I was having some shoot down so I had to screw in the regulator (which is adgustable by the way) and it was perfect. Make sure not to adjust it unless you know you need to.
Ball Detent- I was chopping alot, and when I took out my bolt and cleaned everything, making sure that everyhting was screwed in right, and still had problems, I decided to take it to a Pro Shop because I am new with cockers and I didn't wanna mess with it. When i went there, they mentioned that WGP didn't realize but there ball detents were the wrong size, and wasn't until they mass produced them that they realized what had happened. So, after only two uses, I had to buy a Shocktech ball detent, and all of my problems were resolved. So, my advice to you is right after you buy this, buy a ball detent or else YOU WILL HAVE PROBLEMS!
REVISION: I THOUGHT THAT THE BALL DETENT WAS THE PROBLEM BUT IT WAS MOSTLY BECAUSE OF MY REGULATOR PRESSURE. I HAD ADJUSTED IT MYSELF AND THAT TURNED OUT TO BE MY PROBLEM!
Conclusion: This is a great gun, I LOVE IT. You may have noticed that I changed the review. I had a lot of problems but then I realized that it was my regulator. I had accidentally adjusted it, so I was running at the run pressure, thats what was causing all of my problems, but I changed it and now it is great! Usually I get atleast 1 person out a game, sometimes 2, (In big games I've even gotten atleast 4 people out) which is great considering I never got anyone out with my hooked up Tippmann 98 Custom. If you get this I could almost guarantee you will increase your number of outs a game.

I Hope This Helps

an evo is an electric blow back(think like a tippmann or spyder). an impulse is an electro-pnuematic marker(think like a timmy or a matrix). a WGP prostock(which i assume is the one you are considering) is an autococker which basically means its a pump which uses pnuematics to recock after each shot.
---WGP prostock/04 VF/03 VF---
-PROs
...consistency(accurcay)
...potential(a pimped cocker can easily compete with higher level gun)
...easier routine performance(clean bolt, top cylandier, oil bolt, oil asa, dry fire)
...comes with bottom line
...comes with a nice regulator
...well known brand with many upgrades
-CONs
...needs to be timed(most brick&mortar stores will do this for free if you buy your gun there...this only needs to be done if you screw around with the pnuematics)
...mechanicle trigger pull(though its still light for a mech)
...heavier
---Smart Parts Impulse---
-PROs
...fast out of the box
...can come with an eye(if you buy the vision impulse)
...cheap for an electro pnuematic
...lighter then cocker
-CONs
...less upgrades then a cocker
...needs a nice hopper out of the box
...most expensive of the three by far
---Piranha Evo---
-PROs
...lightest
...cheapest
...pretty fast for a blow back
-CONs
...do you really wanna spend that much on a blow back?
...not as fast
...not as upgradable
...styling and reputation
my suggestion is you get a prostock, a halo B, and a fiber-wrapped HPA tank and then save up to either eblade, worrblade, or raceframe that(use the money you saved from buying the impulse).

Piranha eforce 2k3. Hands down, get that gun. All it needs is a barrel and an electro hopper, then HPA, and your set to go.

If this is your first gun I would suggest a 98 custom by tippmann or one of the better spyders. You should learn about how to maintain a gun and pretty much how to play good before purcasing a higher end gun.

My first gun was and still is an Autococker, the setup in my sig is my first. DO not get something more for beginners because it will be a huge waste of money seeing as how you are going to dump it later for something better. If you know you love paintball then get the cocker, then you can upgrade it to your hearts content. Plus, just read up on it, timing, maintenece, etc, it's not that hard to maintain, if all else goes wrong just drive it to a proshop.
Hell, I don't know an impulse wouldn't be that bad either, but I stayed away from electric guns when making my purchase because that was a little above me and my knowledge, just because I was a no0b. But I do plan on eblading it my cocker.
Pmi, I don't like, there co2 tanks fly off and kill people. I know that sounds biased but I have a thing about those kinds of things, plus there guns don't look all that great. Just like Firestone, can't trust them .
Can't go wrong with an autococker, upgradable, sleek design, love the way it shoots.
It's your choice though, take some time and read up on each of the forums. Autococker, pmi, and Smart Parts. You can tell alot, after 3 months and switching between what gun I should get I settled on the autococker, they don't seem to have many problems other then timing, which isn't that hard if you take time and look it up.
I say get the cocker. If you're thinking about pmi because of the eye then pass on it, same for the impulse because it probably is way too complicated, you shouldn't have problems if you have a fast hopper, as well as a number of other things.
www.pbreview.com <---------read over it, but don't take it too heart, alot of the people are tards on there. Information is key, wait a while before you make your decision. It took me 3 months to choose mine, switched between the 98c, a5, tes, the one, some other guns, then I came to the 2k4 autococker .

Resale sucks on most guns, unless you put a 21" warpig on your tippy and add a scope, then sell it on ebay for 1 grand calling it an uber sniping gun.
You can't ask us what marker to get because we'll all go with personal prefrence. Take some time and do a little research.
