Hi I actually searched the forums before posting this and If i ask any questions that have already been answered, i apologize. Anyway, I have a 98 that has got to go; i have around $350 to spend on a new gun..So far, iam considering the autococker 2003, cocker2004,and the tippmann a5. Which would you reccommend to a relatively new player? I've heard that the autocockers have problems with timing? Is this the case for stock cockers? or does it only happen when you mess with the pneumatics? Also, what exactlyis "chopping", i've heard the term used a lot but what exactly does it mean?... so what are the bigg differences between 03 and 04 vert. feed cockers? ok thanks for your time

Dont waste your money on the A5. Its more hyped up then Angels, IMO.

Get the 2k3 vert cocker. Good gun, easily upgraded, and when I say upgraded, I don't mean you can put a scope on it and a super sniper stock. RAMs, 3ways, anything in the pneumatics. Eblades, you name it.

Chopping is when a paintball gets chopped in half by the bolt because the gun was shooting too fast for the hopper to feed paintballs in. So basicly the gun is shooting like 30bps but your only feeding 15bps, so paintballs get chopped in half. Happens a lot if you outshoot a hopper, especially a gravity fed.

Hey my friend is selling his cocker for 350$.. its a 03 with alot of ups.. '03 WGP cocker w/ups
you should check it out..
o and chopping pretty much means you broke paint in your barrel/gun.. just with a cocker make sure you dont short stroke the trigger.. meaning bring it all the way back and forward.. and the difference in the 03/04 i think is the look.. but the same performance

for a new player, I would get something like a TES. They are realtively good blowbacks. Give me a PM for a good package if you like.

I say an A-5, mainly cuz there's good upgrades u can get and they have great sight and aiming. Just the stock barrels r very very short, so make sure u upgrade it.

^All you can do to an A5 is get a bolt or an RT, adn the RT is illegal in most fields. Ar is just a hyped up gun. Thats all it is.

Well if u look at www.tippmann.com u can see actually they have a lot more upgrades for the A-5.....including the Flatline barrel. It can also feed 15 balls per second and it has a special cyclone feeding system....which in meaning how ever many times u pull the trigger is how many times it will shoot. Not like other paintball guns which u pull 15 times and only get 10-13 balls. There's also no tools required 2 strip it. It only weights 3 lbs! It can shoot as far as 150+ ft.

autocockers are kinda complicated to work on unleess you know how to work on one look at bkos or imps those are good i am getting a bko and uping it

hey i know someone who is parting with their b2k for $250...he's had it for 3 months and he can't afford the sport anymore..he said he invested well over $600 into it...comes with gun, electric hopper, and no2 tank.....Is this worth it?

what kind of electric hopper and does he tell you what ups are if you can find out great but that seems to be a good deal just be sure you know how to take it apart clean it and replace things

AutoCockers are No fun, as soon as you get One you will Know How bad They shoot.. Yes I did recently Have two and I Hated them.. Yes they Have to be timed, But Not every week.. A5 is a No-No, Heavy etc.. The List Goes On How Bad It Is.. I heavly suggest that you simply Stay away from autocockers and Tippmans.. You Best Overall Chose would be a Impulse or a Bushmaster.. Good Quility and In a Failry good price range for a newer player..

15BPS isn't really that much in the PB world. Some higher end guns can burst 30+. If you pull the trigger 15 times on my 80 dollar piranha, 15 paintballs are going to come out of the barrel. Period. And I dont need any tools to strip my marker. Just hit the pin like most low end markers. And 150+ feet is what every tippmann gun says. That all depends on wind, what your shooting, paint to barrel match, temperature, and velocity. Flatlines lob paint. PEriod. End of discussion. www.google.com. Magnus effect. Read and weep.

You can have 10x more upgrades (REAL upgrades, not stupid stuff) with a cocker.

a5's are gas-hogging, overpriced, way overly hyped up noob cannons. out of those 3, i'd get a 2k3 cocker. there is no difference in performance between the 2k3 and 2k4 cockers, just the 2k4 is better looking (different body milling, better looking pneumatics, and the inline reg looks smoother witha new cosmetic design) so the 2k4 really isn't worth the aditional $60 over the 2k3.

Yeah i was thinking the 2k3 cocker... The imp is nice but i don't have the money at the moment and i want to play asap. I've looked around the website and i've heard very good things about the autocockers...I've also heard very horrible things; i suppose it's all a matter of opinion? well if you have an opinion(good or bad)on the autocockers let me know, it would also be nice if you had an example to back it up. Now if i was to go with the autocker 2k3, what upgrades would you reccommend in order of importance? thanks

upgrades um proably barrel,hpa tank,electrc hopper halo,evultion2, you have to have hpa nitro or compressed air because co2 is bad on your cylinoids
