When you shoot a compressed air tank, your usually shootign around 800 PSI. However with a preset, or with the aid of a regulator, you can shoot much lower.

It basically means that the guns operating pressure is low, like about 400psi or lower. You can also shoot low pressure on CO2, but you need a regulator on your gun.

low pressure is a really debated topic.low pressure means the force of the air hitting the ball is lower.but since it needs to reach a certain velocity about the same amount of air is used.low pressure is used to give the ball an easier "push" out of the barrel.this is to promote less breakage and less chopping.low pressure will also quiet down your gun a bit.a regulator is designed to lower the operated pressure of the gun.say yhour gun shoots at 00 psi and your tank has an output of 800 psi.less air is used and more shots per fill.just be careful you dont play with the adjust screw too much because too low your gun will not cycle.too high it ruins the point of having the reg in the first place.
