Go now, you can carry your pods in your pockets if it is that important. I never miss a chance to go ballin.

well, just go now in order to see how many paintballs you shoot. if you don't shoot more then a hopper a game then you probably don't need one. just go ahead and play and then make you decision.

I don't think that you'll shoot too much paint since this is your first time(I'm guessing you are). But just in case you should just ask a friend to borrow a pod and fill it up and put it in your pocket.

You're most likely going to be breaking alot of paint. I personally would just go because it's paintball! But if you do go, don't layout paint too much.

they wont make fun of you. and no, you dont need a harness, took me quite a few times to use more than a hopper a game.
but heres a game tip. DONT STAY IN BACK! go up front, youll be looked up to as a not-so-bad newbie, and youll intimidate others if you have that gun and you push up. who knows, they might think youre pro?

no. i still rarely ever use my harness. i think hopper-only games are funner. and yeah, go up front, and be a madly aggressive. they'll have a bit more respect for you as a noob.

he-he
Those are some prime examples of advice for a n00b. Here's a few more, just for you: (Oh, and it's what I learned...)
- If you're going to an actual field and not just going over a random guys house, get to know the owner of said field. You'll get a bit of respect if you are on terms with him/her.
- If you're really afraid of people making fun of you, take your agression out on the field. Light that mo'fo up,
- Gravity-fed hoppers feed at about 12bps (balls per second), for a brand new player, I doubt you will shoot above that.
- Don't worry about pods. On average I go through about half a hopper in one game. I average 2/3 people out per game as well. (In a 6-man game...)
-Last of all, talk to your teammates. Ask them what bunkers they will use and where they plan on moving. I've seen countless n00bs run for the same Dorito and get bunkered down.

My first few times I never even came close to using a full hopper in one game. Dont worry about it.

a hopper full will be enough for one game, as long as you dont play back and try to shoot another guy in teh very back

They won't make fun of you. Think about it though, if you wait to go then your not going to be getting any better or getting any experience. As far as paint, with a gravity hopper you wont shoot that much, at least not when you first start. But if you want to gain respect from the other players then participate in the game. The thing that drives me crazy when i'm playing is people staying in the back and not moving. Sometimes if it gets bad and the games not real serious ill run back to em' and make them move up. Trust me the game is alot more fun when your acutally playing. And another thing...... its only going to hurt for so long.
