I saw that, actaully wasn't there like 3 or four shows. I only saw the one about the Marine Scout Snipers. I saw parts of the "Stalk and Kill" one. That was interesting. I think what Alpha meant by it is if you watch it you might learn the diffrences between real sniping and paintball sniping.

Did you see the part about Carlos Hathcock, Alpha. That was crazy! I've heard about him and read some parts of books but never heard about the NVA General Assasination.

it was pretty good. stayed up a bit afterwards and saw something about them using a game engine to reinact battles which was cooler.

Oh, you mean Decisive battles, that show's pretty cool. You should watch Command Decisions.

There isn't sniping in paintball. But a lot of military tactics used even by just regular rifleman can be applied to paintball. Theres a lot of history mixed in there too.
Not much tactics in there that I already knew (decoys, etc) but stuff like that isn't even used in paintball. Unless your some fat guy that is diehard...

ive watched it a few times.
anyone who says there is no snipers in paintball are just saying there is no long shot in paintball. thats also like when new players say they want to be a sniper..that means they want to camp and shoot people from far away.
as far as using precision shooting and waiting till the shot is right for you is sniping. I have done so with pump several times. where Im on the side of a path and two players come running through. I wait till they walk by and then plop them in the back...thats sniping its using good shooting skill rather than bulk shooting to eliminate a target.
on that particluar show it has the men in vietnam who are over run by battalion after battalion of veit regs. for 36 hours or so...did they shoot them from long range...no they sat there for the entire time then extracted without taking a shot...that means they got out called in strikes by artillary and air and took out a good chunk of the soldiers. same with a paintball sniper...if you run back to where your buddies have been holding up say by your flag...you have info thats only a few minutes old that can help your stratagy. no say you just opened up on the incoming ballers and got elimnated and sent to the deadbox..well then your team may hear the shooting...but could you tell them what you had heard and seen no.
there is sniping in woods balls...there is recon there is military simulation...sure.
