Heres an answer to some questions

CAN I WEAR A CHEST PROTECTOR IN A TOURNAMENT?

Most tournaments willnot allow players to wear chest protectors as it "pads" your body and will cause balls to bounce and deflect rather than break.

HOW DO I GET MY TEAM SPONSORED?

As far as getting a team sponsored goes-play alot, earn a reputation for being a solid team on and off the field, pay your dues, and then put together a resume in about 2 to 3 years.

HOW SAFE IS PAINTBALL REALLY?

First i would reccomend a few websites; www.paintballsafety.com , www.paintballbusiness.com , and http://paintball-players.org/ , Those three sites should give you alot of info to help you get past the zoning in on the "will i get injured question". And it is a proven fact that paintball has less injurys per year than golf, bowling, football ect . . .

What is HPA and should I get that or Co2?

HPA is just compressed air instead of C02 wich is compressed carbon dioxide.

C02-Compressed carbon dioxide, freezes up, less consistant. costs less

HPA- it is the better choice because it is more consistant and doesent freeze up your gun. costs more

Does it hurt to get hit by a paintball?

If you are playing a speedball game( with plastic tubes, inflatable bunkers), it will not hurt, at least physically. The reason is because you have so much adrenaline, that it hurts you ego more than it does physically.

How fast are the paintballs going?

It depends on what field you are going to. But no matter what field you go to they will not be going over 300fps(feet per second). Many fields have the limit set at 280fps, some have lower.

How do i get on a team

To get on a team you must show that you are a good solid player. You should make shure to play with some of the members of the team, and show them that you have some skill. At first you they may only ask you to come and watch one of their tournaments, or ask you to sit on the bench incase one of the players have something go wrong. Just stick it out, because if you show them that you're willing and dedicated, they might just let you join.

What are the types of games in Paintball?

There are two main types of paintball. They are Woodsball and Speedball. I will explain Speedball first.
Speedball:Speedball is a fast, adrenalin filled game. Nearly all tounaments are played in some form of speedball. There are 3 different types of Speedball:Speedball, Hyperball, and Sup' Airball.
Speedball: Speedball is played with inflatable bunkers, there are two main way to get points, one is to eliminate players on the ohter team. The other is to capture the other teams flag. There is a flag at both ends of the field. The point is to get the other teams flag back to your side without getting hit. You also get points for eliminating the other team, but not as many.
Hyperball: Hyper ball is played using Industrial Tubes. These are tall and black, wiht ridges. Hyperball is played the same as speedball.
Sup' Airball: Sup' Airball uses inflatable bunkers like speedball, though they are slightly different. In sup' airball instead of having a flag at both ends there is one flag in the middle. The point of the game is to get the flag back to your side. You can also get points for eliminating the other team, though you get more for the flag capture.

Woodsball: There are two main types of woodsball: Woodsball, and scenario paintball.
Woodsball: This is probably the most commonly played paintball game. In the beginning this was the only type. Woodsball is played in the woods, and are usually not arganized fields, like most speedball is played on. Generally in woodsball the point is to simply eliminate the other team.
Scenario/Big game: This is nearly always played at an organized field, and, as it'sname suggests, is generally a reinactment of a battle from WW2/Vietnam etc. There are usually over 100 people at these games. These games can include cities, forts, and can cover many acres of land.

Theres some more for you pbjunk .
