9 ways to optimize your accuracy
It does not matter what marker you have; there are a number of easy, though sometimes costly, ways you can improve your markers accuracy.
1
Paint/barrel match. Match your barrel's bore size with the diameter of the paint you are using. Place a ball in one of your barrels, and place your other hand losely over the end of the barrel(to catch the ball).Take a deep breath and blow through the barrel. If it was hard work moving the ball,or worse, you are purple in the face, than your barrel is too tight. If the ball rolls out before you blow, your barrel is too large.Look for a snug fit.Repeat this with numerous balls to obtain an average, and try different barrels. Some players purchase one or two barrels that fit the paint size that they shoot most often.Manufacturers are now providing barrels with different sized inserts.Picking the right sized barrel can make a big difference in accuracy and consistancy of ball breaks.
2
Good barrel. You need a straight barrel, and in my opinion, one with a smooth surface on the inside of the bore (there are different theories about rifled barrels). Stainless steel tends to be harder and more scratch resistant than aluminum. but i have yet to see somebody who has "worn out" an aluminum barrel. A heavy stainless steel barrel can turn your marker into a boat anchor though. Some companies are now producing two stage barrels. The first stage is designed to work best for paintballs of a specific diameter, and is often made of stainless steel for durability. The second stage has a much larger bore size; it is intended to reduce the sound of the markerand to stabilize the ball as it exits the end of the barrel(there are 2 different theories here, also). This second stage is often made of aluminum to reduce the boat anchor effect.
3
Aim! Learn to aim your marker. Some people aim down the barrel, others use "iron sights".In my opinion there is no subsitute for a red dot sight. This type if sight puts a red dot on the target when you look through it . . . it is not a laser sight!I prefer a red dot that have a large objective lense, which means that the hole you look through is big.The larger this lense the quicker it will be for you too "aim the dot" and put it on your target.A large lens means a large and heavy sight, and also bear in mind that the bigger the sight is,the more prone to being hit it is(direct hits can seriously damage them)>If you have a center feed or a power feed, look at occluded sights, or try blacking out the front lens on your reflex red dot using tape.

I'll make #3...
Consistancy also helps accuracy. The way you can get better consistancy is by getting a good regulator which means better accuracy. So if you want better accuracy get a good reglator. I would suggest a palmer for co2 and a ummm....dang forgot the name hmmmm.....you will have to ask someone else, I cant think of the name of it. Make sure you dont get an hpa regulator if you have co2, and dont get a co2 regulator if you have hpa. Also hpa will also help consistancy with helps accuracy. If money is a prob. for hpa, then get an anti-siphon tube installed into your co2 tank(s). For more info on a/s look in the air section. I guess thats all for #3. If it isnt someone can add on.
Sorry if you get mad pballjunk...you said you were tired just tried to help out.
Peace
edit- oops when i was making this post you guys must of posted before me...sorry

-Consistancy
-Paint Quality
-Not Having Parkinsons Disease
Oh i thought this was NINE ways to optimize accuracy, not Two and im a lazy ass and a half. You should have named it that.
Dont take offense just yet, I kid.
Good point though, many people new to the sport dont realize that paint size is a huge issue.

You plagerize from a terrible article in the first place and give us all info thats already been said. Here I'll sum it up for you:
1 aint to barrel match, obviously you can't shoot 6mm airsoft pellets out of your barrel accurately. The better the match the less breaks more efficiency and better accuracy.
2: Good paint. I don't care how expensive your gun is, it still wont make up for lopsided or dimpled paint
3. HPA. Get it, its a lot more consistant and makes the shot spread like 1/3 as big as with Co2
4. Regulator. Like HPA, it really helps.
5. a small drop forward. Small drops will really help shouldering and reduce wrist strains so its easier to shoulder your tank.
The rest is up to your aim. Bam wheres my sticky.

Aim should be #3. You can't shoot straight if oyu have bad hand-eye coordination. I'm one with my gun so I don't really even need to sight in. I can shoot from the feel of it.

6. hose em. Accuracy by volume, maybe 1 ball a second wont hit them but 20 definitely will. Shoot more and you have a better chance of hitting them.

Don't make repeats of stickies we already had. Also quit failing miserably at trying to make sticky material.
