RT ULE Custom for entry level player
Would the RT ULE custom be too much for a gun for an entry level player. I not speaking in terms of power of the gun, but the mechanical side of the gun, in respect to cleaning and maintance, tear down in the field. From my reading reveiws and posts on this site and others, many say it is more durable and has less parts than some of the other guns. I am looking at this marker and the tippman a5, but several posts talk about the amount of gas it uses in the marker and the cyclone feed.
I have been searching and tring to find out what would it cost me initially to get involved in paintball, marker, feeder, tank, air, mask, gloves, etc.. Also, once the initial cost is taken care of what is the cost to once a week. Im not looking for exact numbers, just an estimate.

YEs it is. ITs not a tippmann RT. ITs a reactive trigger. Not responce. ITs tied in with the air system so every tiem you fire, the trigger is kicked back at you. You can shoot very fast with that and an x-valve.
Mags are great guns, not sure if its a beginner gun, but if you have the money, go for it.

Initial costs for a proper setup can vary widely for many reasons so can't really help you there.
Playing at the feilds varies somewhat also but I would say on average a days play 6-8 hours playing most every game starts around $100 and goes up according to playing style.
Welcome to the rush.

the RT mag is a very nice marker. Have you ever actually played paintball before?
The #1 biggest mistake you could possibly make in paintball is buying a $800 marker, then playing and deciding you don't like it as much as u thought you would. Don't buy the mag. Buy a T.E.S. and some cheap gear, and use the spre money to play more and get some skill. Buying an expensive marker with no skill level would be pointless.

yea, if you get a nice pump (tippmann sl-II for instance or phantom) and play ALOT with it, then you'll be alot better when you upgrade to semi. if I had the choice, I would go back and start with pump.

If u got enough money, they go for the mag, cuz u can customize more to how u want it then a tippy.

the RT is a great gun but must be sure if you really want to spend that 300-350 for it when you could spend 50-90 for a cheap mech or pump get use to paintball for a while and then decide on what 2nd gun you would want. You might actually get addicted to it and want to tourny but realize you want a full electro's speed which means your stuck with a 300 dollar gun you dont want
But anyways an RT is pretty easy to upkeep and shouldnt give you any big problems.
paintball equipment (marker hopper tank, mask, gloves) can cost you anywhere between 130-2000/3000, refills anywhere from 2-6, 3-10 at arenas, paint cost you between 30-60, so after paying for equip, playing once per week can cost you around 70-130 a week(saying you buy around 4000rounds of paint) which is rough because different people waste different ammounts of paint per game/per day. oh ya dont forget arena cost of 15-35 dollars
