I hope this is the right forum, if its not, im sorry, but i wasnt sure where to post this.

Well, my friend owns a Spyder, a TL plus. Hes telling me that by getting "The One Kit" his gun will be ultimately godly and amazing and high end. Now its a 100 dollar gun with a 200 dollar kit... how is this posible?? He also said his gun will get 20-30 bps. Now for 300 bucks... what more can u ask for? Why havent i seen this on another spyder!

he somewhat lying, first, the one kit will hit 20, second, the reason he thinks its gonna be godly is cause its gonne be transformed into an electro -nuematic like timmies and any other high end gun, the only differnce is that he will still require a main spring. He should just save up $40 more bucks and buy the Dragun "one" gun itself.

or save up 50 and get a bko, cocker, used shocker immpy who knows what you can get for 200-250 used or new with some shopping around

ive never shot, or even seen a spyder with the "one" kit in it, but from what ive hear about it, he isnt exactly lying, hes just exagerating how good his gun will be. it will be far better than his spyder used to be, and way better than your tippy, but its not going to be a "high end" gun

no idea, lol, but yeah, does he have nitro, cause hes gonna be screwd if he doesnt, if he DOES have nitro then i strongly recomend him savng up and buying a BKO. they are only $300 and have a pretty high rof, or if he gets like $450, he can get a used LED angel, probally even an LCD.

lol. and no he doesnt have nitro. Hmmmm, this is getting me planning for a second gun already! Ill have to look and see what shockers run for on ebay caus IMO shockers are awsome looking.

Most high end guns do not have a spring becuase they are electro-pneumatics. Electro-pneumatics use air to move the bolt, and mechanicals use a spring to activate the bolt. (Everytime you pull the trigger) Springs are a drawback because you dont get anywhere near the balls per second that an electro-pneumatic does. Also, on a lot of mechanical, the spring is so tight that the trigger pull feels like you are pulling a brick.

most high end guns do have a spring, my defiant would work fine without it, except that the bolt and hammer would move back and forth while not aired up. But it would work fine without the spring.

I must agree. I put like 200 into a spyder, and it was not at all worth it. Just my experince. Get a new gun!!1!

So to summarize:
The one kits basically converts your gun into a "BKO"-type gun for $200. It STILL uses a main-spring, since its a one-way ram.

You could also just get an E-grip, and SHOOT JUST AS FAST for about $50.

The advantage to the "one" kit is is converts the method of operation from a blowback to a ram-valve. This means slightly less recoil, and slightly less broken paint. It will also not "shoot down" when low on air.

Worth $200 ? Nothing in paintball is worth what people charge, but if your whilling to shell out the $200, then its worth that to do. I'd suggest just getting a good $50 E-grip, and a halo, and you would be much happier.

well lol remember this really isnt me doing this, its my friend. i told him it was a pretty dum thing to do but he wont listen to me. this thread has helped me a little in trying to show him the true error of his ways.

actually i heard somewhere that guns with a main spring such as blowbacks get higher cps ( cycles per second) then electro pneumanics can.. not sure how true this is though.
