Spraying markers

I was wondering if there was a correct way to respray a marker. the one i have at the moment is bright silver and blue, doesnt blend in very well. I was looking to spray it black or perhaps grey but wasnt sure if it mattered what paint was used and what procedure.

Anyone know the answer to this?

i think u can paint it with other types of paint but for a good shiny look u'll have to send it somewhere to get the special paint that i forgot the name of right when i started writing this... itll come to me but probably some else first
