macro line questions

If this is the wrong section, i'm sorry, but i think it is.

Ok, I have a B2K4, stock, no PDS, and i was wondering about macro line, and elbows, and stuff like that, what macroline, elbows, and other stuff would i need to get my b2k4 up and running (links would be appreciated) Also, do drop forwards go onto the ASA, or do drop forwards include the ASA on them?

well your most likely going to need two 90 degree fittings and some hose of your choice to get it to work. the drop forward would go where the asa is now and the asa would go on the bottom of the drop forward, unless you get a drop that has an on off in which case you will not need an asa as it will be on the drop already. you would put the fittings on the drop or asa whichever it needs to go on and the other one would go on the regulator. then you would put the hose up to the gun or measure to see what length the hose will have to be. then you would cut the hose to the proper length and slide it into the fittings. then your all done

not much really they just shut off your tank so when you take your tank off you dont get a lot of gas coming out as you take it off. but the gas coming out is what is left in your hose. so by using an on/off you can shut your tank off ahead of time and shoot out the remaining gas. then when you take your tank off no gas should come out

so i wouldn't have to use an ASA for the drop forward in their? and do the gauges in the drop forward tell you how much air is left in your tank or something? or how much psi your using

yeah, but what does the gauge tell you? how much air left in the tank or how much psi your using per shot?

that one tells you how much pressure is left in the tank so the lowere the pressure the less air there is left in the tank. but if the gauge was on the regulator it would tell how much psi the gun is running at and on a b2k4 i dont believe it should go anywhere over 300. when you go to gas up your gun for the first time make sure you set your regs right. read the manual and post int he icd forums if you need help setting them, otherwise you could screw up your gun if it goes over 300.

so i would need 2 90* elbows for the regulator and the drop forward, and is macroline supposed to work with compressed air/nitro, or what hoses do you use for compressed air/nitro? Also can b2k4's work off of co2?

i would not reccomend using co2 with a b2k4 you could mess up the internals. you can get an antisypon for you tank though that the proshop will install for you and that will make it a little safer to use c02 with your gun. the hose will work fine with hpa and co2.

Ok, and one final (probably, i don't know yet) question, can you have only ONE regulator on the b2k4, a hpr, or a lpr, or can you have both a hpr AND a lpr. And if you can only have one, which is better to have, and if you have a hpr would you need a high pressure tank, and if you have a lpr would you need a low pressure tank? and if you have both (if you CAN have both) what tank would you need?

a b2k4 already has both installed on it. the lpr is underneath the barrel the hpr is is going vertical next to the grip frame. you have to use both of them together to adjsut your velocity. check the icd part of the forum here or go to pbn and check theres i know they tell you exactly what to do there. idk if this site does though

EDIT: i see in the icd forums that you dont have the gun yet, i believe the gun will come with the hose and fittins you need. so you wont have to buy any more but it does NOT come with an asa

What about the b2k4.5? what are the differences between it and the usual one, and when is the 05 coming out? Also is it worth it to save up and wait for the b2k5? And should i get a high pressure or low pressure tanks. Thanks for all the help

just go with a high pressure tank it will work fine on the gun. the new b2k4.5 has a new solenoid i think a new ram, a lowere trigger pull i believe, bigger gauge, wrap around grips, and the older style regulator. i also think the paint has a gloss look to it as well but idk if it was like that on the other 04s

http://pbnation.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=526844

if u scroll a little ways down in that link it will tell you how to set your regs

idk when the 2005 model will come out but theres most likely not going to be much of a differance betweent he .5 and 05 model. just about every store online has the 2k4.5 models in but your going to have to wait a while to get it like 2-3 weeks because the demand for them is really high right now, mine will be coming by hopefully next tuesday or wednesday, and i ordered it two and a half weeks ago

any site that sells the b2k4 will have the b2k4.5 they just dont bother updating it since it is technically still just a b2k4 with some upgrades done to it. if you want to make sure your getting a b2k4.5 just order it directly from icd (icdproducts.com) jsut call them. or go to your proshop and have them order one from icd
