I told my mom I wanted to pick up a 68 carbine, and she asked why. Her defense was that I alreayd have two guns. I'm still saving for a mag, but I've got money in my pocket right now to pay for the carb. And its a good price.

I tried to compare it to cars. I said if you can find a good condition 67 firebird for 2000 bucks, wouldn't you go for it? (Now I dont know if she knows much about cars, but meh) She said she wouldn't becuase she thinks antique cars are dumb.

What can I say? And selling my other guns is NOT an option.

Tell your mom it is YOUR money that YOU earned. And that YOU should be able to do what YOU want with it. My dad doesnt care. He just warns me against stuff like this. And tries to convince me not to. If your mom doesnt let you, then, i dont know what to tell you.

tell her you'll try and sell one of the markers you already own, buy the carb and then dont sell any of them, simple enough.

I tell her its my money and I can do what I want with it. It all comes down to the 'becuase I said so' kinda thing.

tell her that if you got a new gun, you would have an extra one, so you could let someone use it when you play, explian how you will bring new players to the sport and such. Worked for me, i have 3-4 guns now.

Tell your mom you will sell one of your guns on ebay then figure out how you feel it is worth jack the price up a few dollars.Probably won't sell then you can say that you tried.I do that with my vintage gi joes with my wife.It does work,LOL.Take Care

Dude, sell your fish. You might as well, it makes no sense to have a gun that'll never break down on you. I wouldn't buy something that outdated though...i dunno if you can find barrels for it.

That's a good idea, but he already has 2 guns, so he already has a backup.

128shot: The 68 Carbine is a Tippmann, of course you can find barrels.

I am going to keep every paintball gun I purchase. That way, in 20 years, I'll have some vintage paintball guns and if I keep them in perfect working order, it would be like showing up to a game with a palmer hurricaine or a 007

Just reason with her. Maybe if you buy that gun, you can't ball for 2 weeks or something. Thats what I have to do with mine. Reasoning solves everything.

Dude, I dont ball for 2 week anyways. I play once a month usually. CAn't afford to play every 2 weeks. Hell I'm not eating food for the first 12 hours of my day to save up for my mag.

I'm saving like crazy for my Mag's accessories man. I pay 3 bucks every two weeks on myself and thats if I feel like spending a lot.

Personally, I'd point out good things that I'd done over the last few weeks. Like keeping my grades in check, telling them how great my grade in (Math) is and other subjects I find myself challenged in. Then I'd wait for an answer.

It works, but it's not something you should constantly rely on. I mean, some parent's vary from each other. Mine just want to know I have a B- or above and they'll be happy. (Mathwise that is) So yeah, it's not that hard for me. I just keep my neck aboev the water you know?

Take my advice, try it out. If it doesn't work, see if somebody else has a better suggestion. But don't overdo it, I did that once by asking too many times and I didn't get what I wanted at all. So just wait a little bit, you know what I mean?

Is there a reason you need three guns? I say either don't buy the carbine and save up for teh mag and or sell your paranha and buy the carbine. BTW is this headly's carbine you speak of? In that case buy it.

well it depends how honest you are...

Tell your mom that its your friends birthday, your friend is in trouble and needs money, or something like that and give him the money, he buys the gun and gives the gun to you saying that he returned your favor.

or do the same, however just buy the gun and say your friend shipped it too you as a favor.

Ya if that money is money that u earned from work or whatever, then you should be able to buy it. I have the same problems with my parentals too.

ITs just a carbine. I'm not a gun whore, I'm a gun pimp. I want to have all shapes adn sizes. And especially when I can get this sucker for 20 bucks+ship off some guy.
