hi all im completely new to this and so first of all i everyone!!

ive read all the newb posts inc what gun etc.

however a few questions if poss!

1)what are the differnece between cockers auto cockers spyders etc?

and 2 ive found a couple of guns i like which one would you rate the most?

First off, welcome to the sport.

Autocockers and cockers are the same thing. "Cocker" is just a nickname for the autococker.

The difference between a cocker and a Spyder is how the gun works. The Spyder is a stacked-tube blowback, which means that when you fire, the bolt goes forward to fire the gun. Then, the CO2 blows the bolt back, hence blowback, to cock the gun for the next shot. The cocker is more complicated. For a cocker to work, it needs to load the paintball, close the bolt and cock the gun so it's ready to fire. Look at this animation to get an idea of it.

The best gun of those for you is probably the Dragun TES. It has a high rate of fire, so you can keep up on the speedball field, but it is not complicated and hard to maintain like the cocker (WGP Trilogy Pro). The other guns are low-end markers similar to the TES, but not as good.

The difference between guns is all in how they operate. Sure they both get a paintball sailing at 300fps, but internally spyders and cockers are very different. The general consensus is that spyders are generally easier to maintain than a cocker for a new player, while cockers are hyped to be more accurate. You decide for yourself. Go out to your local fields and try some guns, see which you like.

Out of all those guns I personally would go with the imagine if I was just starting (low price). In buying a relatively low priced gun, you can gradually get several integral upgrades like HPA and a electronic hopper, that can switch over if you ever decide to upgrade guns. If I were you I would read through the New Player FAQs completely and learn as much as possible.

Definately go for the TES. Cockers are great guns, but they aren't as reliable as blowbacks and are tougher to fix when they mess up due to the pneumatics and such. The TES is a great deal.

Do NOT get a trilogy! It's K2's new way of marketing the autococker to new players. The 3-way is built in, you can't upgrade it, and therefore can't get an E-blade or worrblade kit.

I would recommend either the T.E.S or Spyder Imagine. The spyder is gonna be cheaper, but the T.E.S. is 20BPS and has eyes, therefore preventing chopping. Chopping is when your bolt breaks a ball that isn't fully loaded into the chamber. This causes paint to get everywhere inside your gun, and can lead to inaccuaracy and such.

The Spyder and T.E.S. are gonna have about the same amount of maintenance as the other. You can run both CO2 and Nitro off both guns, so you're fine there.

Also, don't forget, you're gonna want a VERY nice mask. I suggest going to your local shop/field and trying on all different kinds of masks. Also, get a couple replacement lenses while you're at it, just so you have them. A few REALLY nice masks are the V-Force Profilers, DYE Invisions, and JT Proflexes. Very, very nice masks that I personally like a lot.

^^ its extremely easy to sweetspot/adjust your lpr, no problem there. iono wat he's talkin about! only way its hard to adjust yoru lpr pressure is if you've got the stocker where you have to take it off to adjust it.

Do you want a fast, accurate, or easy maintance gun, in a smaller budget, your prolly not gonna get all three. Tell use then we can tell you the best gun. Tes is a good all around gun and my prefence of all of those, but thats me.

If he offers guns he can buy, obviously his budget covers it. If he says he's completely new, then he's never balled before. If he's really new, yeah, I'm sure he wants a fast, accurate, easy maintenance gun, and he can get all three, the TES. It's a blowback, so it's easy maintenance, it's fast, 20BPS cap, and accuracy depends on paint to barrel match.

Nicely said. I would go with Tes as well. Good starter gun. Like you've heard, i wouldn't get the cocker. They break down a lot and when you're just starting out that's the last thing you want to have happen.

if i were u i would go with the t.e.s because its a good gun and a cocker is way to much for a new player i dont mean like u cant handel it u just cant hadel the matiance and how to keep it in the best working order. the t.e.s is what many people call a spyder cloane we call it this because its pretty much the same thing in many ways but some are better then the others, the t.e.s is better then the spyder rodeo because its fast and has eyes. the eyes are there so it dosnt chope paint like crazy cuz it can shoot 20 bps and may new players dont have the money for a egg or halo b, they only have enough for a gravity feed or a 12vt revvy. hope this helps you.

I would not go for the BKO. I've owned one and a lot of my friends have also. They're very touchy and don't like to work. They chop like no other, the regs are terrible, and they're overall just not a good gun. Get a dragun TES. They will outperform a BKO by far. Don't get The One though. The one kit makes a dragun operate exactly the same as a BKO.

yea you'd be able to get way better results if you made a poll but from the choices go with the t.e.s or you can save up and get "the one"

nah the one kit isnt very good cuz i heard that u gotta take ur eye board off if u get it. go wit the tes cuz u can shoot paint like crazy (15-20 bps) lol and its easy mantainince....my friend has one and its crazy plus u can find them pretty cheep for 180$
