Gun For Noob

I have played paintball multiple times using a rented Tippmann 98 Custom. It wasn't very accurate. I want to purchase my own marker now. I don't want a spyder because all my friends have that gun. I want to stand out amongst them. I am a decent tactical player and play mostly woodsball. What gun would you recommend?

an Imp or BKO. Something around those lines would be fine.

a BKO sounds good for u. also consider getting a spyder with a t-board because that would impress ur friends alot knowing they have the same gun as u, but urs is way better.

Get a tippy but get a new barrel. The stock barrels aren't very good at all and it probably wasn't accurate because of a combination of the stock barrel and a bad paint to bore fit.

I would prefer to stay around $200 for the gun itself.

ok get a used bko, or see if you can get a used cocker, see if you can find a older vf cocker, i think thats the name. But really a used bko, or better yet a tes for 200 or a t1 for 250, those are draguns and great for speed, scenerio, all around awesome gun. Works liek a sypder, but you will kill your friends!!1

a used cocker would be better for consistency, recoil and accuracy(since many used BKOs will have bushy threads) then a BKO. go with either that or the tippmann with the new barrel.

get a spyder. You really cant go wrong with a gun like the imagine. It will last forever, and its pretty fast for a beginner gun. You also dont need to upgrade it, its good out of the box

Actually, I believe the new 2k4 BKO's have autococker threads. What would that have to do with accuracy anyway? All major barrels are made for all markers, with a few exceptions (i.e.Flatline and Kaner Barrel/Kit). The only thing that could make an autococker more accurate then a BKO is how good the consistency is and the kick. Like Nick said, get an electronic Piranaha. My friend got one new on sale for $120. Then get a electronic hopper, like an Empire Reloader. Once you have that you should have about $40 left. I would suggest to save $10 and get a CP1 piece barrel. The problem the rental Tippmann was having was most likely debris in the barrel or bad paint-to-bore match.

yeah a tes would work. A bko and used cocker would, but used cockers migth be messed up a little, need some work. But i knwo there are nonname brand cockers for 200 w a hopper gun, everything but a tank i think.

Ok i don't liek fishies. A friend has a electro fishy and i play with him. It has so many problems he only plays 1 of about 7 games. The 6 games he is trying to fix it and figure it out! If you want a gun liek fishy i woudl get a imagine, the 2k4 i guess 2k4, is really cool. I mean they have really outdone that marker. They are cheap, a little fast, and can be uped so much.

I would suggest getting a CCI Phantom (what I have) or an ACI Maveric if you want to go on the cheap. Both are pumps but are relatively cheap, and my Phantom is as accurate as a $1000 Angel, of course the trade off is that you have to pump with each shot, and accuracy degrades when you just hold down the trigger and work the pump.
