Capture the flag tactics

What's the best tactic to use when you're playing a capture the flag game? Should you split your team into two groups; an offense and defense, or should you have your whole team go after the flag all at the same time? I've never done CTF and I'm playing it this weekend with 10 on 10 players.

well i think this belongs in the "rec ball" section

i usually split my team up 60/40

its easier to defend with a smaller amount of people than to attack with a smaller amount

and you offenders may have the advantage over the other ofenders if they split their team up 50/50

also sometimes i just do an all out attack and then have some people drop back after a while

being random is the best thing to do, dont do the same thing every time

yeah, definitely defending with a smaller amout thn you attack with is a good thing to do, also, the people attacking should still try to be a little sneaky, and make sure the people defending are in REALLY good spots, or at least the best spots they can get into on whatever field ur playin on...

A good idea would be to check the other forums for people who visit frequently to answer these questions, but I'll share some input.

Capture the Flag can be played various ways. Agressive or Balanced. There is no such thing as playing defnsivley in CTF and winning. You must keep the pressure on the other team and no sit back anticipating their next move.

For a few ideas, try these: Have your whole team support 1 or two guys while they get the flag. Make sure the people you designate to capture the flag have no gun, so they are quicker.

So just be aggressive and have two people without guns go for the flag.

Balanced would be to have some supporting while others advance. This is better for a larger game with more people.

Any more questions feel free to ask.
