But you're TOO AGD. You're a diehard fanboy. It's not all about AGD back in the day. Tippmann, WGP, Daisy, Nelson or whoever...they ALL had a big say in paintball.
Yes, I am an AGD fanboy, but a lot of innovations like compressed air, integrated regs, constant air.. These are all things tomkay ebrought into the sport. But whatI said in my previous post was that Tippmann, WGP and Tippmann are the only 3 companies that date back to the 80's.. But that makes me think... What about PMI?
I first started playing in the early '90s and the most popular guns were PMI-3s/VM-68s, .68 Specials, and F-1 Illustrators, those 3 guns were the Tippman 98s of there time, lots and lots of field rentals... Cockers and Mags were way high end, god I remember how much they cost it was hideous, plus CO2 tank, remote lines.... :/
Nice opening but, yeah way to AGD heavy or way to other company light. I'd try and add more about Palmer, JT, Brass Eagle, WGP, whoever made the illustrator (slow memory ...) Sheridan etc...
Haha. Speaking of a partial timeline, maybe you should mention something about the sniper, I mean it was the first gun built specifically for paintball. Then about the evolution of speedball and such. And how he came up with the first barrel plug and came up with the world wide velocity limit of 300fps. Bud Orr was a great man, he invented so much in paintball.

Alpha is right: The "Splatmaster" was the first gun DESIGNED for paintball. Before that, the 707, 007 and PG were all made before paintball (for marking trees and cattle). However, those three guns evolved into the Tippmann, Phantom, and Cocker.
The Sniper originally started out as an upgrade kit for the PGP. There were other upgrade kits at the time, but the rest died out.
Alpha's history is AGD-biased, but I don't really blame Alpha. Paintball is like a lot of hobbies were every manafacturer tends to make crazy claims. In AGD's case, they DID contribute A LOT to paintball. But so did Palmer, Tippmann, and everyone else. THis makes it hard to write a GOOD, IMPARTIAL history.
For example, who invented the semi-auto? Well, Tippmann, Brass Eagle, Palmer and AGD all had semis in the 1980s, but who was first? No easy way to tell since all came out about the same time (ie SMG, Eagle, Camile, Panther).
So... I do give Alpha credit for trying. If I wrote a history, I probobly would ignore speedball since I'm just as biased as anyone else.

WDP, World Dominating Products took a page right out of Smart Part's book and sued Smart Parts.
It seems the consensus around the Angle boards is that WDP has never officially said what their name stands for. It looks like the most generally accepted (and more fitting) explanation is "Who Dares Plays", but I don't think even that is official.
Unless they have very recently come out and said what WDP stands for (which I could very well be unaware of), I think you should remove it from your timeline. Does anyone (HP?) know for sure WITH proof what WDP stands for?
Otherwise, good work so far. Keep adding to it and updating it!
