Playing in a light rain

A drizzle if you will.

I know our markers arent made of cotton candy, but what about after a game in light rain conditions? I was thinking crack it open, apply a gentle blow dryer/soft cloth to dry, and then re-oil.

Any "dont dos" or additional suggestions?

Yeah, if you're playing in heavy rain on a hill or something you might just want to take it apart and check it.

I played in rain with my old Imagine and everything still works fine. They are alot more durablile that i thought. Your Tippman will be fine.
Edit: You're paint is a different story... Try not to get it wet.

I don't know about drizzle, but when I played in rain it sucked. Balls curve everwhere, balls breaking more often, it just was a hassle. But sometimes you just have to play, I guess it's doable. Well for me it wasn't cause I couldn't hit people at all, i seemed to be having extra problems than others, but others seemed to still be able to shoot semi-fine. Fine enough to get me out a lot at least.

It barely rained - it was so light, that it helped to keep us from heating up after running around... at first. Once our body heat really cranked up - the rain did not wey my thermals enough to cool them and I was cookin' in my outfit

There is a whole 3 page article on playing in the rain.... Tape the porting on barrels and on vent holes in masks

As long as your marker isn't build from steel, you'll be fine.

Just play like you would normally play. There's no need to re lube your gun or after every round or dry it off, it'll still work fine.

If your worried about rain getting into your barrel or any ported barrel openings or any kinds of things like that. Try putting a plastic cover over the top of your ported barrel so that it can shoot from it and water doesn't get into the barrel. Then you can continue playing. Also, as far as cleaning it's ok. Rob "Tyger" Rubin has a show on the rain if you want me to get that for ya.

lol, his question was already really answered, i don't know how many people it takes to tell the guy to cover his porting, though it doesnt really matter, and don't worry about a few rain drops.

Ball'n in the rain is the same as clear sunny day, except it's cooler, and your get colder. Besides that, keep the paint dry and have fun stopping your mask from fogging

Well that's the idea Headley. Putting something over your ported barrel will make sure that no water gets into the chamber where the ball is.

Do you have any idea how much water has to get in your barrel for that to happen? Light rain will not be an issue there. The porting on barrels for the most part, is smaller then a rain drop, making it very unlikely a rain drop will go through your porting, run down the barrel, soak your chambered round, and leave it there long enough for it to swell, causing you to burst a ball.

Remember that hurricane we had a few years back fast? I we played in that and we never had a problem with our paint getting wet because of the porting on the barrels. Most of us use All Americans too so that's saying something.

The only thing that i can think that you'd want to cover, which i didn't see listed on here, was your power feed slot, if you have a power feed marker that has a hole that is. That is a big enough hole that water will get in, and cause your day to be crappy.
