im going to my local field in a few days to play speedball for my first time. Could anyone give me some pointers. I have a tippmann 98 and have only played woodsball once before.

For more in depth respones there's a few good threads stickied in the tourney forum. Basically if your playing back, shoot a lot at the start, and be sure your front men know what you mean when you yell out where positions are. If your front, sprint at the start to find a bunker, hug the bunker with your life, and be as intense as possible. For the most part your back men should tell you where they are, so you shouldn't have to look around that much, you get shot when you don't know where they are. GL.

dont pop out of the same bunker in the same spot more than a couple times, cause then theyll know where you might pop out and they could get you

Move when it starts. Don't stay back... that isn't alot of help for your team unless you help them move fowards

Also, you can pop your head out of the top of a bunker in some instances, but it's not reccomended. Better to go out of the sides, you expose yourself for less time, and your hopper doesn't give you away before you show yourself.

Snap Shooting is when you pop out of the side of your bunker really quick and only fire about 2-3 shots... Only the waist of your body and up should move, using your waist as a pivot point. So basically, your poppin out, shooting 2 while your out, and maybe 1 as your commin in. if you do it right your opponent wont have time to react and shoot you back. you can do this on both sides of the bunker but youll have to switch hands so your elbow doesnt stick out... just thought id make it clear assuming you dont know what it is, or how its done. im sure someone else can explain it better

You don't need to be humping a bunker to be covered. If you know where the last one or two guys are, you can sometimes be 10-15 feet off a bunker adn still be covered

pretty much think of every moment in speedball as your moment to go out in a blazing glory, that's what i do... kind of like live each moment as if it were your last.. well.. go out blazing.. as if you were fixing to get shot.... you can really scare the crap outta some rookies and some ams by moving A LOT.. like... spending no more than 8 seconds behind each bunker.. when they see you moving like lightning... they'll be crapping their pants.... good trick..

ya move as much as u can, snapshoot alot, if its 1 on 1 with another guy eather move alot or insted of u pop up shoot they he pops up and shoots u stay up and kinda predict when he'll pop up again and just rip away

EDIT: and dont let ur self get bunkered (thats when some one shoots u pointblank when ur hideing in ur bunker and ur not moveing)

dont get tunnel vision. like dont fix your vision on one spot for a long time. it may result in yourself getting bunkered because you're not watching your back

I think that's the best advice I've ever seen when someone asked about speedball. That's basically speedball put into 4 words.
