electronic boards..

ok my friend recently bought a free flow from a different friend.. the person he bought it from had two free flows - one with electronic trigger frame and one with mechanical. anyway, he bought the mechanical be the guy told him that is was meant for outdoors and he had a problem with two electric boards due to moisture coming in and the boards were shot.. he used a word on what happended to the board like incinerate or something.. what happens to the boards and also, if ima get a defiant.. can the board get *shot* as well ( cant figure out that damn word! )
thanx
PS i know this is a weird question but i need to know because i dont want a defiant if something is gonna go wrong when i play outside with it..

he bought the mech b/c the electronics had shorted out, he just put a mech cocker frame on there.

Um, u should not worry about moisture and the board too much. In normal play, 0 problems, in light rain, u should be fine. Heavy rain, well, then u might get it wet which=dead board. The grips do a decent job of keeping water away from the board, of course dunking it in water will go right around that.

I think the term you meant is the board fried(sp?), but yea, burnt out is also a popular term for that. Umm, the cleaning just keep your board free of paint, if any gets on it just wipe the paint off.
