First Gun

Of course you guys have seen hundreds of threads almost identical in this section and yes i have read a few but i wish to ask for my self..... I am from UK and have played PB before, but just for fun, i now wish to buy a gun of my own and get into playing with friends... what is you opinion on this deal/gun

http://www.thepaintballshop.co.uk/infernoheat.html

Bearing in mind i know NOTHING about the guns its range, can you guys give me a rough idea of how this gun will handle... how far and how much power it will shoot... ANYTHING atall you can tell me about this.

please feel free to make reccommendations, but the price range i am after is £100-£200.

Thanks

how much US dollars is that?

the link you posted to that gun i have never heard of before. it looks like a good marker but you can probably get better. i suggest getting a gun from a bigger company such as kingman spyder.
a good starting gun is a spyder imagine. its cheap and it'll get you the speed your looking for.

all guns can shoot the same basically. its not the gun that gives it the power its the air and most guns use the same air. [two kinds: CO2 or HPA]
spyder imagine can work with both kinda of air.
the spyder imagine is a great starting marker because it's able to be upgraded in so many ways, and its basic, easy to handle, and a good speed for newer players.

It's a bit over $300 like $305-310. It doesn't look like your best option in that price range. I would recommend the tippman over that gun, but everything appears to be overpriced. Tippman 98 is about $129 american, it is listed on that site for £129, big difference.

http://xpaintball.com/spim04.html heres a link for a spyder imagine.

but if you have closer to the 300 US dollar price range theres a number of better guns available. such as a BKO.
a bko is much better than a spyder in a lot of reasons. its faster, more reliable, and its a good marker in the mid-level gun range
they sell them on most paintball sites but xpaintball doesnt have them

well, its not like a tippmann. a tippmann can take a beating.

a spyder itsnt really heavy duty, its kinda small, but small is good cause its good for snapshooting and moving quickly. its built stronger than other markers, but its not the strongest. i suggest a BKO cause they are probably easier to handle [better quality]

Spyders are strong guns, dropping it will do nothing except maybe a scratch. They are also very low maitanence, and can last an extremely long time. Lube them every once and a while and it will last you a long time, and have no problems.

So, I guess your finished you cowering in the fetal position Alpha?

But yeah, most definitely listen to everything that supahfly said. If you have the spare money, and looking for a better quality gun then the Imagine, then get the BKO.

Although, even if you do have the spare money for the BKO, you will also need some more cash to buy an HPA tank. The reason for this is CO2 does not work on a BKO, as you will easily blow the solenoid. If your still going to get the BKO, after knowing that you have to buy an HPA tank, an HPA Tank Company that i highly reccomend you to is Crossfire.

If you have any other questions, just holla back youngin.

good HPA tanks are either Crossfire or Pure Energy [PMI] they both make great quality tanks.
you'll also need a fast hopper, such as a Halo B, Empire Reloader B, or a Viewloader Evo

hmmm i checked out the BKO and i liked it, but the air system sounds like a bit of a chore, the spyder imagine looks good, but it got a few bad reviews, like plastic breaks and stuff.... i like the look of this gun alot...

http://www.holmbushpaintballshop.co....f699c613ad781a

Go on abuse this gun, i want reasons why i shouldn't buy this one.

Edit: I was also wondering, is this gun electrical, as you lot said i dont want one as my first gun, i was pretty sure it wasn't but a review said it was...

???????

you WANT electric. the mechanical markers arent very good at all. the electric ones you pull the trigger maybe a few millimeters, on the mechs you pull it maybe even an inch.

the reason why that gun is so low in price is because that gun isnt electric. its a mech. the mech spyders are SOooo much slower than the electro ones.

the best gun in that price range is easily the BKO as i have showed you. although with the BKO you will need HPA [compressed air] rather than CO2 as i have mentioned.

the spyder imagine on the other hand, can work with compressed air, or CO2. if you will have no money after getting a BKO and will need to get HPA, then i suggest getting a spyder imagine. or a good choice would be to do yard work for your neighbors or something to get money for the HPA tank. thats what i would do, because a spyder just isnt nearly as good as a BKO by far. the price difference in each is probably aroound 150-200dollars.

the spyder imagine can get up to 14 balls a second stock. and the BKO can get up to 18 or so. but the main different is quality and the internals.
a bko isnt like an imagine because it doesnt need to be cocked. you just plug air into it and it flies. you wouldnt have to worry about having problems with your bolt uncocking and other stuff like that. also the BKO has almost NO kickback, meaning it'll be easier to hold steadily accurate.

I shall haven another look at both those markers, that helped alot, i was convinced mech was the way to go as a newb, just to get used to the idea of aiming and make it more of a challange and more 'real'. In this time me and a friend have also been looking at the Spyder Rodeo... It has good reviews and I was kinda looking forward to getting it but... its Mech.... is this really such a bad thing????
