First off, this Forum looks great, I can see that I am going to be getting alot of good information from here... So, Thank you in advance.

My current situation/question.

I have a cheap marker(I know), besides buying a new marker, what can I do here... Oh have aI mentioned I am a newbie at paintball as well.

I have a Paradox ELE (Spyder Clone) Marker, the problem that I have with it is that from time to time, balls continie to feed into the barrel. for instance, sometimes during a game(getting more and more frequent) the first shot i take, will spit out 2, 3, 4, or 5 balls... if I take a few more shots rapidly then it is fine, but when I pause, the first shot often times has several balls in the barrel. It seems to me that the screw in, spring loaded ball is not doing its job(but I am just guessing here), is this a part that is replaceable? do they come in sizes?

I have many more questions, but will reserve them for after I have read much more of this forum.

Welcome to te forum, I had the exact problem with my rebel btb. Your ball detent is worn down or the spring is weak, yes the part is replaceable, but im not sure if they come in different sizes.

Your detents ins screwed up. Its a little usually rubber piece in the very tip of the gun where the barrel goe sinto. You can get replacments, probably warenteed im guessing. If notm it probably takes standard spyder detents. Call the manufactorer and ask if theyll either replace it, or who makes the same detent like a standard spyder one.

Thank you, it seems to be a really easy replacement, it is simply screwed into the side of the marker. the spring seems really weak on it, though I am not sure how firm it should be in the first place.

I will certainly look into getting it replaced.

It's most likely ur ball detents, i've also seen on a rare case where the paint bore is too small and goes right by the detent

ok, there is 2 things you can do,

1. do what everyone else said (wich is what the problem probably is) find your gun's website or call them with some replacement detents.

2. if that doesnt work, try buy a different brand of paint (probably not the problem) different brand tend to be slighty bigger or smaller than others by much less than a milimeter, you could have bought screwed up paint or just EXTREMELY small paint.

Actually I did notice that the last brand of paint I bought... Scorch? I think, slipped past the detent much easier than the Zap I have in it now... so I think it is definately a combination effect going on here...
