Need Some Help

Hello, I've been playing paintball for about a month. And this might be an incredibly stupid noob question, but hey, I gotta learn some how. So, what I'd like to know is what is velocity? (Like on the gun), and how do you change your velocity. And if it matters, I have a Spyder TL-R as my first gun. I've got a few mods done to it. New Barrel, HPA Tank, E-Hopper, etc. If you'd like me to go into details, I will. Thanks in advance.

Velocity is how fast the paintball is coming out of the barrel. Most fields have a limit somewhere between 275-300 fps (feet per second) To adjust the velocity on your Spyder follow these steps.
1) Pick up your marker and turn it so that the barrel is facting away from you and you see the back of the marker, like you were holding it infront of you in a game.
2) Look right above your grip frame the very first part of the body there will be a screw or thumb adjusting screw it is normally below the area where the bolt is.
3)Screw the screw in to raise velocity, or back it out to lower it. Make sure you do this over a chrono and set it to your fields velocity limits.

If you experience velocity being too high when screw is all the way backed out, or too low when it is all the way in you may want to consider a Spring kit which has different strengths springs. Normally they contain weak, medium, strong, you would want to put in the medium spring if your velocity was too high with the one already in yours. If that is still too high put in the weak spring. If you are shooting too low, put in the medium, if still too low, put in high. You replace the springs by pulling a pin from the side of the marker out and the spring will force the adjusting piece (and I think bolt) out. Be sure to put pressure on the bolt, and the adjusting piece with your free hand so it doesn't shoot out and lose pieces.
